very good location just 3 min walk to yantang metro station with direct access to the airport and the downtown . the staff speak limited english but they are so helpful in another way . I booked the Japanese style room which was so small with no windows but clean enough with TV and electric kettle. there was no bed but the mattress was on the ground . the wifi was good. it is a good budget hotel.

The room is decent. Quite clean (at least clean enough). Not very soundproof. The staffs' english is very limited but helpful in another way. Breakfast is ok as long as you arent staying for more than 3 days, since you can get bored with the limited choice of food. Whats best is the location. Very close to interchange station yantang, kfc, mcd, traditional street foods.

Near to metro, within 5 min walk.
Room is clean & tidy, but gets a little rusty and old.
Overall is still okay if you want a convenient & budget hotel to travel around.
Free breakfast is good for you to grab something fast before heading out.

Room size is consideraby ok for a budget hotel. Clean n comfy. Location is good though it is quite in a suburb area. Western n local Fast food are nearby. Traditional market are across the building. There is also some local chinese food and street food with good taste of seafood at night. Subway station in walking distance and only one stop to go to teemall, a big n modern mall nearby. Wifi is good. No complain. Two things that you can complain are boring breakfast and non english speaking staff. However you can live with that (",)

I arrived in Guangzhou without booking a hotel in advance. A friend recommended this hotel, as it was near her home. There's a KFC and a McD's right next to it, and it's a short walk to the Yantang Line 3 metro stop. There are different styles of rooms, with the least expensive being a Japanese style (futon on raised platform) with no window. I took a standard room with a window. Booking through Ctrip was 203 a night, about 60 below the posted rack rate. The bathroom had a mildewy smell, but was otherwise clean. WiFi was fine, though my Windows 7 laptop refused to connect. I used another free WiFi service instead. The staff is pleasant, but their English is limited. There was one small desk for the TV screen, and a nightstand, so workspace was at a premium. The room was actually spacious enough that a small cafe style table and chairs could fit by the window, making it a bit more useful. No complaints, really, but I think the price was higher than similar business hotels like 168 would charge for the same amenities. On the other hand, I liked the convenience of being close to the Metro and McD's, where I could get coffee.
