Noisy nights
tiger192pageon 01/07/2017 22:32Clean comfortable accomodation. On arrival told the owner we had been travelling for 9 hours not even offered a cup of tea. First night ok then disturbed night's by guests because of paper thin walls and the owners wife entertaining her Spanish friends into the early hours without thought to her guests.
Just for the night
Bob Fon 16/05/2017 16:38We stayed only for one night whilst visiting friends, the room was very good, we had an excellent view from balcony, the entrance hall is spectacular. there is a small church in the grounds. a good selection was available for breakfast. My only disappointment was the shower, it could do with a good service, would i go again .Yes
Scottish or Spanish?
Aberdeen14323on 18/04/2017 17:57It think it would be more appropriate to call this establishment Casa Springburn as it has more Spanish Catholic style than Scottish. Having said that, my wife and I had a very comfortable night here. The downstairs room we were allocated was of adequate size but had a bed which was a bit too big for the room. It was well equipped with a good TV, iron & ironing board and most other accessories one would expect. French doors opened onto a patio area which would have been nice to use had the weather been a bit warmer.
On the subject of temperature, there didn't seem to be any heating in the room as it was a bit on the chilly side. This had obviously been acknowledged by the owners as there was a free standing electric convector heater which we had to switch on and keep running all night. The bathroom was nice with a large multifunction shower but could have done with the black mound removed from along the bottom of the shower walls.
We booked this through ebookers.com and no mention was made in the description or the booking form that the rate quoted was "room only". To be fair, it also didn't say "Bed & Breakfast" but the assumption was for what is essentially a B & B, that breakfast would be included. We only found out when we checked in and we're told that we would have to pay extra for breakfast. As it happened, we were visiting relations who lived close by so we breakfasted with them. I think that rather than quoting room only, establishments which wish to quote a room only rate would be better quoting an inclusive price and then offering a discount for those who don't want breakfast.
All in all, I would recommend this establishment as long as one can live with the heavy Spanish and Catholic influence. I understand that at least one of the proprietors is Spanish and they cater for quite a lot of Spanish customers.

Lovely B & B
ClaireHerb12on 13/02/2017 22:32Stayed here on 12/02/17 and it was lovely. Nice and quiet, clean and warm and lovely modern rooms. Didn't use the pool but looked nice. Would definitely stay here again. Has it's own chapel which was unusual. Not far from Loch Ness.
