Best B&B ever

Beautiful turn of century home; beautifully decorated; easy access to pikes peak, garden of gods. Innkeeper is delightful. After breakfast she plays her old wind up Victrola and reads a humorous story. I would recommend.
Great place with a great host

Arlene is probably the best BnB host we have encountered. Very personable and knowledgeable. The decor of her facility is fascinating, the room is comfortable and the food very good. What more can be said?
Lovely time

I visited Colorado for a few days and was able to negotiate a reasonable price with the owner, Leo who was a interesting and kind man. Leo and his wife made breakfast every morning, which was delicious. And Leo was full of interesting stories, which he shared at breakfast. Definitely recommend!
The way a B and B should be

What a fabulous B&B. It is made more fabulous by the innkeeper, Arlene. Upon arrival one receives an incredible history of the house, the era in which the house was built, and an explanation of Colorado Springs, Colorado city, and the differences between the two. I have had recent surgery and stairclimbing is not a comfortable thing. We were on the first floor in the front room which was incredibly comfortable. There is a great front porch with rocking chairs as well as a gazebo and patio areas with chairs. Morning breakfast was yummy and it was enjoyable chatting with those who were staying in the house with us. During breakfast Arlene offers more historical gems and a delightful tradition I have never seen in any other B&B. I will not spoil that surprise by telling you but do linger over breakfast to enjoy your fellow travelers and most especially Arlene. Do not make this a rushed trip. As I said, our room was extremely comfortable, very clean and the B&B is very quiet at night. We cannot wait to return to the area so we can stay again. There's a great coffee shop just up the street and there are also delicious restaurants nearby. I cannot say enough good things about Spurs n Lace and Arlene.
Couldn't have been more pleasant

My wife and I decided to visit Colorado for 6 days and we started our trip by staying in the Colorado Springs area for two nights. It was just a guess, but it turned out to be a great move. We picked the spurs and lace bed-and-breakfast and Arlene, the owner, couldn't have been more nice or helpful. The home is wonderful and extremely.well located. It is right in a walking downtown area with excellent restaurants. It is located just a couple minutes from Garden of the gods in just a few more minutes from the pikes peak base camps and cog railway. Arlene, because she grew up here, is extremely knowledgeable and really helped us with recommendations not only for this area but all of our coming days in other parts of Colorado. She really made us feel at home. She has beautiful touches like a short story time, a wonderful breakfast, and she can offer much history as you would like to know. I highly recommend this place. It exceeded our expectations.
