Low price, efficient stay.

Good sides: Location. Price efficiency. Personnel. Interior design. Breakfast.
It is not a high class place and has the minimum of what can be offered. But the personnel is really caring and understanding. This exceeds all aspects of the property. The receptionist (Ivan) was really helpful during and after my stay and he showed personal interest. Breakfast was not eye catching, presented under transparent nylon covers but the taste and extras offered within the price of the room were more than expected. "Bacon and eggs" highly recommenden but not some sweet pastries. Ladies in the breakfast hall are really hardworking and caring. Doing their best for customers. The room had the minimum of its basics. Rather small and tight. It was single occupancy of a double room. More people may not fit there in comfort. I liked it in general, but not to mention the bad smell of smoke in the room... Hotels should care more about this. The thing I liked was the rooftop view of the city. The interior of the hotel looked traditional and classic from old architectural times. Beautiful. You really feel you are in "Royal London". All in all, this place is good with low price, good breakfast and efficient service. You will not be disappointed.
Bad sides are: Bad smell of smoke in room. Leaking bathtub. Small room.
Great value, great location!

OK. So why did I give this self-proclaimed budget hotel a 5* rating? No, it isn't a fabulously chic boutique hotel that has been recently renovated. Yes, it could do with a bit of sprucing up.
But it is scrupulously clean. All the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Without asking, we were even brought some freshly made tea and croissants to our room on our arrival.
The breakfast was great and included a cooked to order English breakfast, or a good selection of fruit, breads etc. My only gripe would be the horrid over-sweetened orange juice!
The location is a very smart residential area in the centre with very good transport links.
Highly recommended!
Short weekend stay to London

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. We were a family of 5 and from the hotel website and booking I expected to stay in the room over two floors giving us some space. Instead we were presented with a tiny room, with 3 singles and 1 double bed. Made teenier by all our luggage! I would urge any large families to confirm the room type before confirming your booking. My second gripe was the tiny bathroom. My third is there were no tea/coffee amenities in the room.
However, the location is brilliant within walking distance to central London and tube station. The cooked breakfasts were amazing - a freshly cooked English breakfast every morning and LOTS of it (tea and coffee were a bit sub standard though). The staff were great and very friendly, offering us a place to store our luggage before and after checkout times, making sure we had enough to eat, and providing assistance for us getting around.
Would I stay again? Yes, it's good value for London but I'd book 2 rooms for a large family.
Great Location

We had a family room on the first floor for our family of 5 (all adults or older teens), which was a loft with a double and single upstairs, a double and single downstairs and a tiny bathroom. We were pressed for space, and it was very basic, but plenty of hot water, TV (didn't use it so cannot comment), nice breakfast and good staff. Our room had a very large balcony. Unfortunately summer was hot while we were there and there were no fans or ventilation which made sleeping difficult.
The location is terrific, with a private park and upmarket housing in the area. The train station is an easy 5 minutes walk, with direct trains to and from Heathrow airport (takes about half an hour) and 10 minutes ride to the centre of London. There are nice eateries, a chemist, supermarket and newsagency all near the train station.
Great value for Family

As most reviews have already stated, this was perfect for a family of four. Where most hotels in London required two rooms to be booked, here we were able to get one room (with a loft and 5 beds) on the first floor, breakfast was included, and location excellent; just a few minutes walk from Gloucester Road underground station. The room we had was on the first floor and included a very small bathroom and very spacious balcony. I doubt that the other levels have any balconies though. It should be noted that this room is 'relatively' great compared to the extremely high prices of London hotels. Only basic cleaning and change of towels are given, and amenities are not included, but knowing this going in, again it is great value for money and highly recommended. It is also in an affluent area of the city, as can be seen from the gorgeous buildings all around. The location is also minutes walk from the Natural History Museum, restaurants, pubs, Hyde Park, etc.
It is family run and this is also a great plus, because it gives a good sense of comfort. Right outside the tube station is a supermarket (Waitrose I think) where you can also pick up ready made food and wine, and a Boots pharmacy for a few amenities. it is a great walking area as well.
We opted to take a cab from and to the airport, since the kids are still too small to carry their own luggage and we had 4 suitcases, but booked that in advance since it was much cheaper than taking a cab directly from the airport. There are a few websites and they meet you with a name plate at arrival. We used express airport transfer, and got a larger vehicle to accommodate us. it cost about 45 pounds each way.
