We stayed here for a few nights and had a good stay. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are too. Everything is clean and the breakfast was lovely. The staff are friendly and happy to help with any queries about the town. The negatives were that you could hear the roads outside quite loudly and there was a constant smell of smoke in the corridors and around the lobby. The smoke is more a problem in Austria though as most places allow smoking indoors.

This is an old styled property. Room size was just ok, but both room and bath area were quite clean. No coffee machine in the room either. Am not sure whether other hotels in Bad Ischl are similar but I paid much lesser for better hotels in other areas (Vienna, Salzburg etc) while in Austria. So management should either renovate or decrease prices.
Location is not bad as it is around 1 km (15 min walk) from Bad Ischl station (bahnhof), however my biggest complaint is that there was constant traffic in night on the road where this hotel is located and hence my wife and I couldn't sleep properly.
Breakfast in the morning was good and included in room rate.
All in all, I would look for better properties.

Room was a nice size and the bathroom perfectly adaquate. No problems with sleep due to noise as reported by others. Internet not good and not protected with passwords.
Car parking is quite limited and provided on a first come first served basis. Nice bar area but waiting to be served can take a while.
Breakfast was nicely presented and no sign of awful small packaged jams and butter, which is nice as far as I am concerned. Coffee however, came from an urn and tasted awful. To be avoided.
Hotel price obtained was quite expensive for the level of facilities provided. I'm

Fortunately we only spend there one night.
There is no noise reduction in the rooms, we could listen to the TV or even the snore from our neighbors, impossible to sleep. Even though our rooms were non smoking, after dinner there was a smoky smell all over the room.
The internet was also a problem, because it only worked when we were next to the door.

A comfortable hotel on the road travelling into Bad Ischl by bus. We were in easy walking distance of the town. Clean comfortable rooms with very helpful staff and a substantial breakfast to keep us walking on our trail to the next stopover.
We discovered the Juene's coffee shop in the town, made famous by Sissi and Franz Joseph who made it their favourite cafe when staying in the town and the Salzkammergut-Thermal spa,perfect for visiting on wet, cold days. We struck a very wet cold spell of weather here in the mountains.
