Valet parking was easy, bar staff were exceptional. Concierge desk were good to deal with. Overall a good experience

My husband and I stayed at the Stanford Plaza in a Junior suite for 2 nights. The view of the river was spectacular, King size bed, lounge area, large dressing room and bathroom. If you need anything, just ask, nothing is too much terrible. Worth paying a little extra for this room.

I have stayed here a number of times and without fail it always impresses. Well worth staying. Centrally located a short walk from the main mall of Brisbane. Service is excellent and very close to restaurants

The hotel is ideally located close by the river, botanic gardens, pier restaurants, shops and the CBD . The staff although always friendly could do better. We had a lovely room with a view of river. There is a nice bar and courtyard area. We enjoyed the good pool and gym.
Our main problem was the cost of extras. $14.95 per day for Wi-Fi is outrageous; I don’t think I’ve paid for it in another hotel for at least three years, including several others whilst in Australia. Not telling you when you check-in unforgiveable. When I queried this I was told Agoda, with whom I booked, would have mentioned it in their email. They probably did but it was booked nine months earlier and was one of eight such bookings so not surprisingly I did not remember. The charge is not applied if you book directly with the hotel. $6.50 for a one minute STD call is similarly ridiculous, using my UK mobile would probably have been cheaper, as is $4.50 to clean a handkerchief.

Booked a king suite last minute and ended up on the 15th floor. Was disappointed we did get a bridge view room. Ask for a room numbers 01-08 to get a view. Otherwise you'll be looking at the Gabba.
THe hotel is of course in a good spot being close to Eagle St pier and the hotel its self was nice. Check in was smooth however overheard another couple next to use being offered a discounted upgraded but we were not. Room was good but I still struggle to cope with easily being able to see that our king bed was two singles pushed together.
Buffet breakfast was very good with a good omelette station and an excellent selection of hot and cold food.
Overall a nice room with a hefty price. Location is very good.
