Booked a Studio Queen Suite in the Stamford Plaza in Melbourne for 3 nights in October 2017. Check-in was extremely efficient and we were dealt with straight away and had our room key in minutes. The bedroom was very comfortable, and a good size however the ensuite shower room was a bit small. The breakfast buffet was good and what you got was well prepared but I would have liked a bit more variety. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and were keen to make sure our stay was very pleasant.
The hotel was very well located, close to the tourist tram route, the main shopping areas and China town.
One problem we did have was the sound proofing on the windows, there was quite a lot of noise from outside and this was particularly bad because there is building work going on next door. I do think the hotel could do with looking into this.
Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay in the Stamford Plaza hotel and would recommend it as a good city centre hotel and ideal for a stay in Melbourne.

Plenty of space with large, clean suites having a separate lounge, dining and bedroom areas. Room rates paid were also great value. The in-room dining hours and menu options could be expanded a bit more.

the pool is great, not stuffy and kid friendly. The free Wifi allowed my daughter to watch her Netflix on her Ipad. The aircon was easy to operate. I was confused about operating the dishwasher, so I left a note for house keeping and they left a kind note thanking me for stacking it.

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary which worked out to be an excellent choice. We really liked the laneway dividing the two towers, it gave it a village feel - cosy with lots of character and very private. Comfortable, excellent room and facilities - spa and swimming pool were great. The buffet breakfast was my favourite as there was a great variety. Very clean.

Beautiful hotel with up to date appliance and clean rooms. Staff were very nice, welcoming and accommodative to any questions or needs. Would highly recommend to friends and families and would without hesitation stay here again.
