My daughter and I stayed at the Stanford Park Hotel while visiting Stanford, and had the most remarkable, relaxing & enjoyable experience, after long drives and walking in the hot sun. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel pampered and well cared for. This hotel was the highlight of our accommodations up and down the west coast, visiting colleges.

I stayed here overnight to attend a conference at Stanford University the next day. I wanted something fairly close by because traffic around Stanford is usually ridiculous no matter what time of day it is. The room was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The hotel itself was very nice as well; the staff were courteous and efficient. Parking was ample and free. I believe they also provide a shuttle to major local destinations like Stanford, for example. The complimentary in-room snacks and bottled water were a very nice touch...I enjoyed them. There was also in-room coffee...also much appreciated. In addition, there was complimentary wine tasting in the evening and cookies later on. There was no complimentary breakfast but they served coffee/tea in the lobby starting around 6 a.m. or so. I stayed in a room that faced the courtyard (on the 3rd floor). I wish I had known there would be live music in the courtyard that night because I would have asked for another room. Even though I was on the 3rd floor, I could hear the music/singing clear as a bell in my room. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't unpleasant it's just that I had some prep work to do for the conference and it made it difficult to focus. The music was over well before my bedtime so it wasn't a disaster just an annoyance. I had room service bring up my supper. Service was prompt even though it was 'supper time'-- 6:30pm. I had the Bistro Burger, ice tea, and strawberry shortcake. The burger was very good but the fries were a bit soggy and wimpy. I would substitute a side salad next time but I don't remember if it was offered on the menu. The strawberry shortcake was almost not edible. I managed to eat to berries and whipped cream but the biscuit-thing that came with the berries and cream was stale, hard-as-a-rock, and tasteless. For $8 you'd think they could make a half decent shortcake! Also, they add an 18% gratuity to your food bill automatically so think carefully about the tip you give to the server. Would I stay there again? Probably but I wouldn't bother getting room service which, I assume, was provided by the Menlo Grill which is inside the hotel.

I stayed here for one night as I was for business in the area. What a great experience! The lobby was friendly, elegant and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. The room was large with a very comfortable King size bed, clean with great bathroom and amenities. My room was looking to El Camino and I am a very light sleeper but the insulation on the windows was perfect with no noise at all in the room. The only minor complaint is the light from the clock on top of the telephone that distracted me from failing a sleep that my t-shirt fixed :) I will stay again and highly recommend.

A beautiful oasis in a great location
Checkin was welcoming and efficient.
The room was large, bright, well appointed and beautifully decorated.
However, housekeeping was a little slow. We came back at 3pm one afternoon and the room was not made.
We were also charged $23/day amenities fee at check out without an explanation of what it entailed.

I wish you had sales and promotions that make this hotel affordable. The wedding rates were good but when trying to extend it doubled😢😢. We would have stayed longer!!
