Still the best around after my last visit 3yrs ago...room is clean & a/c is superb with good bed & new pillows instead of soft pillow like last time.
But when I check out I saw the pillows were stain underneath the pillow cover
But hope they would change it in future

Hotel itself is OK but there is really room for improvement as far as breakfast in concerned not a lot of choice and most of it has absolutely no taste.....close to the mall so well situated in the city center of Alor Setar.

Starcity Hotel located at middle or Alor Star and walking distance to Aman Central Mall😂 But the room price is a bit expensive but its comfortable. Will repeat to stay there soon and choos another room👌🏻

The staff should learning give smile to guest. Same problem with Liza Zamri..
This my last stay here. During peak season they should provide more staff and work efficiently. This is the problem when the staff can not handle the to much guest. The service very slow and have to wait for long to enter room. The Manager should give some suggestion to guest for waiting for room.Very clumsy and bad management...
Room Tip: Bad attitude of the front desk staff. No Manners, Bad ettiquette. STAY AWAY!

I stayed here on the 30/6/17. While checking out, the staff by the name of Nani called me.. (hubby was the one making the payment at the counter).. I was waiting at the sofa.. Nani the staff was on the phone with the housekeeping staff, and she was asking me at the same time: "there is a stain on the bedsheet.. what is that??" in front of the other staff and other customers! I was like... flabbergasted and so embarassed! I just answered... well... "my skin problem" (for your information, i have an eczema problem.. a skin condition... when i have a flare up, it is so itchy and it can be a slightly bloody and can stain the bedsheet..) but it is not like i stained the whole bedsheet like i have a period! and there was also some stains like loose powder stains on the bed,,, not like i poured the whole sambal on the bedsheet!
In all my 52 years, and 42 years of travelling, i have never been ambarrassed and asked like this at the counter in front of other staffs and other guests!! I felt so numbed and embarrassed!! Nani or who the hell her name was has no manners or etiquette as a front desk staff! We just came back from staying 3 nites in Penang Georgetown City Hotel and 3 nites in Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel, Hadyai... and none of these hotels have ever asked me why or how i stained their bedsheet! Even if Startcity Hotel have a policy to ask or charge their guests if they stained their bedsheet, they should have been polite and ask the guest in the privacy of an office room.. what if the guest really stained the bedsheet with menses blood? Wouldn't it be an embarrassing answer to give to the hotel staff if asked in front of public?
After being "drilled" by Ms Nani. I gritted my teeth in anger.. just dont know how to react.. But I gathered my courage and confronted Ms Nani.. and I asked her "is this how you treat your guests by making her fe l embarassed?" she just said its the hotel policy to charge guest who stained their bedsheet. Really?? come on... reallyyyy?? I cant believe it! I said you should have mention it in the room. Its not like i purposely want to stain your bedsheet! duhhhh!!
This is going to be my first and last visit to Starcity Hotel. I should have stayed at the better looking hotel opposite this hotel, named Fuller Hotel. I believed they could have a better trained front office staff, at least!!
