The team at Staybridge Columbia provided me with the most amazing stay I have ever experienced in the hotel industry. From the warm greetings and mini chats with Deborah, for breakfast, to me rushing in at the last minute to make dinner with Rick, it was truly exceptional. Rick was me and my co worker's go to person for the best late night snacks and microwaveable in the pantry. I haven't personally, met the house keepers but they ensured I had make up wipes daily and an extra pop corn in my kitchen. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the comfort that the team have provided to me and my co workers. Staybridge will definitely be our company's go to hotel for all future endeavors in Columbia.

Stayed at Staybridge Columbia for 2weeks due to home Remolding issues. Wife and 6 yr old triplets. The hotel was great. Comfortable and good accommodations. But what impressed me the most was the staff. I've traveled worldwide and the staff here is the best. Immediate service and responsive to every need. If there was a problem they addressed it immediately. Courteous and helpful from front desk, dining to maintenance. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was coming in the evening when I arrived to check in and was barely going to miss the happy hour so I called and Rick Campbell the front desk representative was OUTSTANDING and the most accommodating person in all of the hotels I've ever stay at! He made me and other people checking in at that time able to extend the happy hour and went above and beyond to make us feel right at home! Thank you for an incredible first visit there. It's because of him people come back!

Most important thing in a hotel is the sleep quality. 1. Bed was like a marshmallow. Need I say more? 2. All 4 pillows on the bed were super high. They were fluffy but they still do not go down when resting my head. My neck hurt the entire evening. I think I shuffled and got up about 55x times during the entire 7 hours of laying in bed - sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously - due to discomfort.
Breakfast was also INadequate when you're paying $175 + tax per night. Please do not give us those unhealthy options - each and every item on the b-fast bar except for the fresh fruit of which there was only 1 banana left at 9:45 am. All the food was low quality (waffles, fake eggs, tarred bacon) or out of a can (peaches) or had a lot of sugar content (yogurt, juices-yuk!). Nothing was healthy. Even coffee was awful.
Location was in an odd spot. When you turn left into the hotel, you have to be very careful as there're 3 declining lanes of cars approaching you. It's as if the hotel was in the middle of a highway lanes crashing into the downtown central. Very odd placement for a hotel. Just be careful entering in/out of hotel.
I gave it a 2 star i/o 1 star only because our room was very quiet and there was noise to disturb us.
IHG hotels are all kind of disappointing. I never tried Staybridge before but I am now convinced IHG doesn't do a very thorough job in quality control.

The staff were very friendly at the front desk and made me feel welcome. There was free dinner for the night I stayed and also free breakfast the next morning. The dine-in area downstairs is very comfortable and relaxing. There were also books, games, CDs that could be checked out for free if desired. The hotel location is not far off the highway so it was easy to find. There are not many restaurants however along the same street so you would need a vehicle to go out to eat. The room was great with kitchen area (with dishes), living room area (with TV), bedroom (with TV) and bathroom. There was popcorn available in the room which my kid enjoyed! The bed was very comfortable. My receipt copy was printed and slipped under the door which was nice because it gave me time to review the charges prior to leaving. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely return!
