Brand new hostel; clean; nice and quiet neighborhood; close to the train station and Utrecht bicycle rental at the door good breakfast; big groups sometimes, but thanks to the configuration of the place, it's not disturbing!

We stayed for one night in a family room/dorm, with 2 bunks an two single beds. Powersocket and light near the bed, linnen provided. Big closet to put you're bags in. The room was of good size and a ensuite bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. We could leave our bikes in a locked space wich was good. Outside a nice area to sit and relax, or be active, such as pingpong, football, playground and more. Breakfast was plenty and good. Walking distance to the small city centre, around 15 min. The only minor thing is that the door between the hallway to the room upstairs and the dining area is in constant use and so it slams a lot wich I found annoying. Specially at night. But overall I would recommend this place.

The staff was wearing nice shirts saying "Don´t ask google, ask me". When we needed some information and asked them their answers were very poor and their actituted unkind. Some times their answer were just "no" or "I don´t know".
We booked some bikes for 3 adults and 4 kids and they didn´t have them all the day we booked them. When we complain their answer were that another colleague made the booking. The didn´t give us a solution till we got angry.
Everything but the staff in the hostel was nice and perfect.

an excellent place to stay. plenty of local sights, military museum, and Utrecht with canal trips, museums, and plenty of places to eat by the canal. the train station from the stayokay is a short walk down the road and the train only takes 20 minutes

Needed a cheap place for a 1 night stay for early morning meeting. Stayokay worked well for me. Rooms are spartan. Please bring own towels, soap as there is none in the room. Loved the location, common areas and the breakfast. Ideal place for family or few nights away with friends.
