if you dont mind 1 hour 40 minutes from the airport it is worth coming to Blanes. The hotel is opposite lots of shops and close to cafes and bars .The sandy beach and the most wonderful Market on a monday, it is big! The Hotel was comfortable, bed had a topper and it worked so well I had to set my alarm to wake up, pressure in the shower was the best,, staff lovely and so friendly, The pool was clean and looked really nice.... I never went in as the weather when we stayed was only hot for three days! but they had a jacuzzi and i used it when I wanted to chill out and when it was warm enough as they do not pump hot water into it. The food was fine and I always found something to eat, the worst thing was they had one night of singing, and we enjoyed having a dance, but after the first night it was football on all the tvs in the bar and lounge, you could not escape it, I hate footie, but this place is in a good spot. They also have a cafe at the hotel and do great menu, fave was pizzas and icecream.

Lovely hotel for price. All the staff were very friendly from dinning room to reception. Liked the idea going to restaurant to wait till seated...saved the restaurant being too over crowded. Room clean tidy and fresh towels every day. Great location near beach shops and bus station.

Excellent, friendly staff. Very attentive and helpful. Great location to the beach and shops. The staff had great recommendations on excellent restaurants. Cozy room, very clean and very clean building. Would stay again.

Always visited blanes but never this hotel. Faultless. Rooms good size. Staff lovely. Central location. Absolutely spotless. Hope to return again. Very busy and popular hotel. Could not wish for a better stay in blanes.

Myself, my husband and our 3 boys (aged 2, 7 and 10) stayed at the Stella Maris for 10 nights in August 2017. We arrived in the early hours due to a flight delay and were quickly showed to our room. We were very impressed with the size of our room which was more like an apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living area, 2 balconies and even a washing machine.
We stayed on a half board basis and were pleased with the food provided. There was plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner reflecting the various nationalities staying at the hotel and the dining room staff were all very helpful and always took time to speak with us all (despite our woefully poor efforts at Spanish!).
The apartment was very clean and was cleaned daily by our lovely cleaner who was always smiling and friendly.
Our boys particularly enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the pool area and it's facilities were always spotlessly clean. Even though we visited in August there were always sun beds available and we often had the pool to ourselves! We visited the nearby beach on a few occasions but the sand is very coarse so wasn't ideal for our youngest.
The hotel is situated next to a number of bars and a campsite so unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise at night and the bin men visit early nearly every morning which is why I haven't given full marks for the location. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing family holiday for those who would chose to find their own entertainment rather than relying on their accommodation to provide it.
