i was travelling with 8 months baby and was really worried about the cold weather in ooty but taking sterling hotel really blew off my worries and i enjoyed the stay.
i was upgraded with one bed room and then i was really happy to see a heater in my room, also they gaved me a baby craddle which was really added comfort to me and my baby.
room service also did a nice work.
overall was a great experience.
just the problem was in reaching the hotel which dint had a very good road from ooty city.
but hotel was nice and cozy.
really will plan same hotel in future.

This place is about 2 kms from the main city. As we followed the google maps for route, we were led to a deviation road, which is super narrow. As we drove there was a point where we even wondered if the car could move in that direction (It was that bad). somehow we crossed our fingers and drove to reach the resort. The resort looked good from the outside and we were welcomed by the staff with lemon tea. We were shown to our room, which looked good. The room has a huge bed, sofa come bed, a small kitchenette, wardrobes, heater, tv and restroom. The washroom would need a bit of cleaning, as it has a smell from the exhaust. Coming to the food, it would be a real pain to go looking for a restaurant nearby. We took their meal plan one day, the breakfast was above average. But the dinner was a real let down. They did not have many variety in starters, non veg, continental or desserts. We would expect a large spread and not a poor spread like this one. hence, we chose not to take the meal plan for day 2. You would have to go to the city for food though. we mad sure that we parceled the food in evening from outside eateries and carried it to the resort. This worked in our favour, as they already have a kitchenette in the room with cutlery. Please refrain from heading out after 7 pm, as the roads are scary near the hotel. Hotel offers a beautifully maintain garden, play area, a decent gym and spa. The biggest let down was that the do rent the conference hall for outside events, as they are very close to the rooms it causes real inconvenience. We had to face a lot of noise from these conference rooms for 2 nights. The last night was pathetic, as group of drunk people started making noise outside the room. We called the reception thrice but the resort management took nearly 2 hours to clear the crowd. I would suggest you to opt for a room far from the conference hall. Resort must really avoid these things from happening any further.
All in all it was a above average experience.

A memorable trip to elk hill sterling resort....very kind welcome from the whole team of staff....very polite RAMYA....good care taken by all the ground staff...delicious food made by chef SHERSINGH....very caring MANJEET and VIJAYLAKSHMI who served us right what and how we wanted....everything beautifully well organised by Mr.SHYAMLAAL and Mr PREM......Comgratulations to the whole team for the warmth and hospitality .....well done keep it up......trips have always been satisfying.....would love to go again soon.....

It was a very relaxing vacation. The property was great. The people were warm and friendly. The service was great. The room had an excellent view of the entire city as it is situated on the hill top. Had a wonderful time and would like to go back to the same hotel again.

We had been to Ooty during August, 2017 on personal visit. This Resort is very nice place situated on the top of ELK Hill. The rooms are well maintained and services are excellent. Regarding fooding( Break fast, Lunch and Dinner ) are vary vary delicious. Recreation facility is very much there. Overall performance of the Resort is excellent.
