2 weeks after our trip, me and my friends were hit with a $1600 bill for "damages" without any notice. After a slew of emails and calls, we were able to get in contact with the resort and found out that our damages were only about $400.
The rooms were not all that nice to begin with.
Stillwater is run by a bunch of scam-artists, and I would never recommend anyone to spend their hard earned money here.

The condominiums were not in the best of shape to begin with, but after our stay, there had been a few more minor damages to the room. After getting the bill, the room was charged for +$2,500 worth of damages, which for the damage was ridiculous. We were able to negotiate the cost down to a lower price, but we were still being taken advantage of. I would not recommend nor be staying at this location again. Look for other locations on the mountain.

The rooms are old, dilapidated and disgusting. A thorough cleaning and update is badly needed. Worse, however, is that the management company charged our credit card after we left claiming we had damaged the room (we hadn’t). To add insult to injury, the charges far exceeded to value of the supposed damage. Stay somewhere else.

We stayed here for four nights on a ski trip in Feb. The place is a little dated but very fitting to Montana. We enjoyed our two story condo it afforded us some privacy with the separate bedroom and bath upstairs, full kitchen and great views of the mountain. Our condo was the closest to the stairs that led to the parking lot and then to the lifts so we were skiing within 10 minutes of leaving the condo. There were plenty of eating and drinking options within easy walking distance to keep us happy. The skiing was great, plenty of snow and no lift lines to speak of. Overall we loved our Montana experience and cant wait to come back.

We stayed in Unit 1041 of the Stillwater Condominiums at Big Sky, MT for 3 nights in February 2016. We arrived late and were unpleasantly surprised to find a condominium that seems not to have been updated since the late 1970s. Moldy tile in the bathrooms, decades of wear and tear, beds that sagged to the middle, a hot water faucet that did not work in the upstairs loft bathroom, and old tired living room furniture. Arriving we were overwhelmed by the musty smell of the unit and had to leave a window open during our stay. I did not notice until the next morning that there was fecal material (presumably from a prior occupant) in the downstairs toilet (took photo, but it was distasteful enough it would probably violate Tripadvisor's rules for submission). I have no idea what other units in the facility are like (although an indication can be found in other reviews), but the price-value ratio for this unit was hopelessly lopsided in favor of the management. Read what others have written about amenities. For example, the pool, while nice, is located in the Huntley Lodge, a 5-7 min walk uphill (we saw but never went because of the distance). There were no other amenities that we could identify. Shame on Big Sky Management for having these units in their portfolio and managing them so poorly!
