I have to compliment Stower Grange on a truly phenomenal stay.
A warm welcome from the staff greeted us. Nothing was too much to ask and managed to be informative and attentive without sounding robotic.
We stayed in Thyme and were greeted by a sumptuous bed, plenty of room, a great bathroom and crumbly shortbread.
Pre-dinner drinks over a boardgame by the fire were just what the doctor ordered. Beer is well kept and bright, whilst staying local.
The pigeon and bacon salad was sublime. Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, flawless on every level. As we debated dauphinoise or thrice cooked chips, we were offered both. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
The head chef even knocked up the best peppercorn sauce my partner has ever had.
Desserts blew us away too. I'm shortly running out of superlatives which is a shame because breakfast was on a par with dinner.
My partner ordered just bacon and poached eggs. Eggs so fresh the vivid yellow yolks were made short work of.
A special credit to the waiting staff who managed to be attentive without being intrusive.
A definite must for any savvy traveller who wants a slice of luxury far from the madding crowd.

I genuinely do not know how to start this review, forgive my ramblings!
We approached Stower Grange earlier this year as a possible venue for our evening reception. I cannot thank every member of staff enough for their part in making our celebration so special. Richard is undoubtedly the most wonderful host, supported by a team who embraced our requests and changes. Nothing was too much trouble.
Every one of our guests were amazed at the buffet, we knew what we wanted/didn’t want and the chefs excelled themselves.
Several of us stayed and had breakfast together in the dining room the following morning-again I must comment on the quality of this. It was, as I have seen in previous reviews, one of the best I (and others too) have had. I cannot recommend this venue or the staff highly enough-if you don’t go you’re missing out!

I suggested to a few friends, who were visiting Norwich from London, to stay here a few weeks back. I have attended weddings, birthdays and family dinners here in the past, so knew it would be a lovely place for them to stay outside the bustling city center.
We were able to join for breakfast on Sunday morning, and we were certainly not disappointed! The menu was nice and varied and could be tailored to everyone's requests at no hassle. An array of cereals and jams were available to nibble while the main event was being prepared by the chefs and toast was topped up when we needed it.The full English breakfast was the best I have had in a long time and the staff members were perfectly attentive throughout. I genuinely couldn't fault the food and wish I could have it every Sunday!
After their stay, my friends praised the room and how comfy the bed was along with the fantastic breakfast and easy checkout service with the ever helpful staff upon departure. They will definitely be staying here next time they visit and we will definitely be joining them again for breakfast! Thank you!

Notwithstanding the preceding grumble, we found this hotel to be charming and value for money, with amazingly varied and well presented food.
Having personally seen how hard Richard and his staff try to please, we would not hesitate to return.

Stayed here recently for a family event, the staff could not have been more helpful. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Small hotel in quiet location but convenient for Norwich city centre. Would highly recommend.
