Stunning location and would shine with a make over

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fair and plentiful. Had the fortune of getting a high-floor harbour facing room with a fantastic view. The hotel and room is a bit run down and could use a refurbishment, but served as a great platform for visiting Bornholm
Great location but..

Located on the sea side next to a cute little harbour. The room was big enough but a little smelly. No tea and coffee although advertised and breakfast nothing to write home about. If it wasn't for the location we would have rated it 2 stars. Also over priced.

The price was good for the facilities and standard. The hotel is in front of the port and just one minute walking to the closest beach, and the surrounding with walking opportunities and nice restarants
Good breafast!!! Good to have different kind of bread to choose.
Most of the staff was helpful, especially Nina.
We stayed just 2 nights in this hotel.-
Just OK...

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel.
The location is a bit distance from the downtown of Allinge. Sandvig itself is very small and almost no shops to look around. The distance to Allinge is around 10 minutes by bike, 20-30 minutes by walk - good to walk back after dinner.
The hotel itself is nearby the beach and there is good facility to sit and walk around the beach (but rather alot seaweed in the water so not that interesting for us to go into the water unfortunately..).
It's also close to the hike path (starting from the camp site) and there is a nice (with reasonable price) restaurant just at the starting point of the hike path.
The hotel itself is so-so.
The reception is not open 24 hours and if you come back late you need to remember the code to enter.
In the booking page it says wireless network available but actually it's not everywhere.
Our room is in the other side of the building (has to cross the sun-terrace) and there we couldn't reach the wireless network and had to bring our machines to the lobby for Internet surf.
The rooms in the hotel pictures look big, but our room is rather tiny. I's an attic room with the window on the attic roof. Beside the double bed there isn't that much space left.
The mirror was supposed to hang on the wall but it was fallen and lying again the wall only.
The bathroom is very small too. The shower and the sink tap are integration; so watch out when you just want to wash hand or brush teeth - always check the water panel is to the sink, not to the shower.
And since it's integrated, to shower is just to stand in front of the sink and pull the cerain to separate the shower area and the toilet/door.
Even with shower certain, the whole floor gets wet anyway... but they are very nice and offer a "squeegee" in the bathroom so you can do it yourself to help the floor dry quicker - better to do it yourself otherwise the ventilation in the bathroom isn't that good anyway...
Breakfast is OK. Good to have different kind of bread to choose. It will be better if there is no fly flying around the tables.
By the way, there is no elevator... at least so our side of the building; so don't bring too big or too heavy luggage.
An Attic room with a view

I spent 2 nights in a single room at the top of the hotel. A real attic room but the view from the little window over the small harbour was great. The room was a strange shape and hard to make work. Staff were very pleasant but not always available. Meals in the restaurant perfectly plesant and one of the more flexible restaurants to eat at in Sandvig (note it is Sandvig not Allinge and so about 2 km north of Allinge towards Hammerso). It also makes its own chocolate there and teas which they serve at breakfast and their chocolate tea - yes really is delicious and not sweet as you might think. There is no lift and so lounge area as such when I went although it was clear work was being done to the hotel which is a large prominent building down by the little harbour and despite having one side by the square and the other by the harbour it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful because it is just aay from the beach which is just a few yards walk away. It has its own guest car park which is useful bearing in mind its location
