Although we never got a chance to stay here, I could not be more critical of it. We booked B&B for a special occasion last week, after spending a number of weeks searching for what we thought was the ideal place to stay.
We received an email confirming our booking last week. however we have now received an email saying that they have no rooms available and they "hope to welcome you in Suite Beccaria next time".
Disgusted with this treatment, especially after submitting credit card details and receiving confirmation of booking via email. We have called every available number for the B&B and not once has a phone been answered. Shocking treatment

We arrived at check in time and no one was there to meet us so I rang management, Caterina and was told that I did not have a reservation and then she hung up on me. I called back and let her know that I had fully paid for our accommodation and that I either need a full refund or a room. Hung up on me again! So then I contacted the online booking service who contacted the suites and Caterina came around and realised that we did have a reservation and that it was fully paid for so then we spent the next couple of days being shunted back and forth from one apartment to another as our room had been let to someone else. Talk about a lack of this organisation! it was terrible and in the end we decided to take matters into our own hands and we booked another hotel and paid for it ourselves.
So my recommendation is, stay at Hotel Stendhal; much closer to things and the best service, breakfasts and a quality hotel. No double booking here or rudeness.
This should never have happened it cost us money for new a hotel and taxis back and forth to places. if you are going to stay at this place make sure you have a room available when you arrive. And when we returned home I found out that we were hit with an additional 195euros and for what?
I would never ever stay at this place again. Incidentally, the online booking service refunded our money; accommodation costs AND the 195 euros that were charged for no apparent reason. The suites were contacted so they could be given the chance to explain themselves and the extra charge imposed and according to the online booking service, the suites have not provided explanations.
Hotel Stendhal for me anyday!

We spent a couple of nights in this B&B and we could said ourselves satisfied.
Rooms and especially the hall should be renovated but they are comfortable and very clean.
Bathrooms are perfect.
A bit ovepriced since breakfast is minimal and there are no further services.
Recommended anyway.

The B&B is outside the main area of the city, but it only takes about 45 minutes to walk to the Colosseum. The rooms are in a residential block and they are nice, the breakfast was good and simple and it feels like you are staying in a proper house. Even though there were some issues arising on our stay the owners dealt with it well and made sure the last half of the stay was as good as the first half. Thank You

We have just come back from a long weekend in Rome and had a fantastic stay at Suite Beccaria. The Bed and breakfast was in a great location, only 2 minutes from Flaminio Metro and a five minute walk to the Borghese gardens and Piazza di Popolo. The room was a great size and spotlessly clean. We arrived late on the first night but Caterina was there to meet us personally in the morning and each morning we were served fresh croissants and toast in our room. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again- brilliant value for money!
