It is a clean, cozy and comfortable place to stay. Stuffs are English speaking and friendly which is a gem in Beijing. The WiFi is also OK. Location is also good as it is near to Xisi subway station; however you may face an issue as is that it is around 200 miter from the main road which you have to walk as no cab is willing to go inside.

With amazing people, I mean both the staff and the other hostel visitors. For one, the boss is a great guy who can speak English well, and goes a long way to help you out when you need something. The other staff Keiko, Hui Zi, Xi Gua, DJ, miss Wang and others are also very kind and helpful.
The other hostel visitors were very easygoing and easy to make friends with. There's a relaxed atmosphere, people sit in the courtyard in the evening just drinking a beer, playing guitar or what have you. The boss hosts some free dumpling or bbq parties almost every friday, very nice! Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be ordered at specific times, in my opinion good food. There are also some nice restaurants around the corner.
The hostel is located 10 minutes walking away from subway station xisi, from where many central locations can be visited quite easily.
As could be seen from my review, I like the place a lot and would definitely recommend a stay there. You will not be disappointed! Hope you have a good time in Beijing!

Close to the subway in a small, very Chinese alley, which is great.
Best hostel I have stayed at. Booked early since it is very small, limited room.
Offers tours, fantastic meals, and staff speaks great English.
Very clean!!!
Will recommend it to everyone and anyone who is going to Beijing.

Very nice place to stay! I strongly recommend it. The staff is very helpful and kind: Echo, Miss Pang and DJ are very nice and willing to help you if you need help!!! Location is very accessible. Very clean and the air conditioner in the room works perfect! There are a lot of groceries and restaurants in the area, highly centered I definitely will come back.

Pros:
The staff are very helpful with tourist sites, subway, bus lines, banks, restaurants, etc.
The food offered is average. Not bad.
The beds are averagely comfortable.
The dorm rooms are averagely priced.
Cons
Beijing is SO HOT during the summer and the A/C in the rooms is terrible. Especially in the dorm rooms. Just plan on sweating it out. Whatever it is. Many other hostels have better A/C from my experience.
The mixed dorm room is simple enough. Perfect. But it's dirty and the lockers do not entirely lock (currently only 3 out of the 6 work).
The Xisi subway is close by, though it's a 10-15 minute walk. Depending on how fast you are.
It's not close to anything, it's in a neighborhood. Which is cool if you like the experience.
The hostel is hard to find for taxis. Make sure you have the telephone number and address in Chinese characters handy.
The rooms are just SO HOT. I'm a northern, wintry kind of gal...so it could be my problem. But oh lordy, someone bring me ice.
All in all, there are much better places to stay at in Beijing. Just do your research.
