The Cafe Venice Pizzeria & Deli restaurant has been closed since January 2015.
In the same location is now the Le Thai Café restaurant. We have not yet been there.

This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Dirty silverware, food that was obviously frozen factory produced, and one of the rudest, thoughtless waitresses I have ever encountered. Not only that, but their "specials" are $20, and believe me, there is nothing special about it. Our only observation of the owner was watching him take a seat at customers tables and making himself at home, wearing shorts and a t shirt!! As we got up to leave he apologized that he didn't get to our table to chat. He said he would next time. Sorry pal, we will NEVER be back!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. And fruit flies everywhere. Worst I've ever had, and I've had some bad experiences! We called to see if they could fit our party of 6 and instead of telling us they were understaffed, they took the reservation. We sat inside and were not greeted not was our drink order taken for over 20 minutes. It took 15 more to get the drinks and then they took our order. We then sat there for an hour and a half. NO APOLOGY OR EXPLANATION. They brought out two people's food, and never came back. I went to ask what was going on and everyone was just standing around! Again, no explanation or apology. They were serving customers who were sitting outside that arrived an hour after we did, and they didn't even discount the few morsels of food we did get! Terrible terrible terrible. It was my second time there, the first wasn't this bad, but I will never ever go back. Being understaffed is one thing, being rude and ignoring your customers is the worst service ever.

It's with great regret that I write the sad review for Cafe Venice. Quality slipping, price increasing, still friendly and quaint (lovely outdoor patio) but difficult to justify with plenty of other options around

The first time I came here I was on a date and the owner made my evening wonderful. He came to the table and made recommondations and everything from the roasted peppers to the tiramisu was devine. We sat outside and we must have been there 3 hours just enjoying the atmosphere and the company. We have been back countless times in the last two years because we enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Service is slow and a bit disorganized, however I do not like to be rushed while I am eating, so this is a bit of a reprieve. Do not come here if you are in a hurry to be somewhere else. This is a place to bring a nice bottle of wine (if you forget there is a liquor store a half mile down the road) and enjoy the people you are with and the food.
