Goodbye to the best Chinese restaurant in Bethel Park, PA! :-(
If you want good Chinese near Bethel Park now, go to Silk Road in Caste Village, Sesame Inn on 19 in Peter's, or Pho Kim 88 on Library Road near Castle Shannon. I recommend them IN THAT ORDER...in order of quality of food.

I visited today for some take out. I ordered Kung pao chicken and an egg roll. Total bill was $6.15! Now where, other than a cheap place with lousy food, are you going to beat that price?
But the price isn't the reason I go to Panda Garden. I go here for the Kung Pao! It is absolutely the best! The chicken is thinly sliced and NOT deep fried or breaded. The pieces are large, but they are thinly sliced, exactly as I like it, moist, and delicious. The Kung pao sauce is always seasoned to perfection. NEVER too hot, unless you ask for it that way, and never lacking in flavor. I am sorry that I live in Harrisburg so far away from this place, because I LOVE IT!
The egg rolls are perfect in they're taste and texture, but they are disappointingly small. They're amazing. But they leave you wanting more.
There are two restaurants I simply MUST visit when I am in Pittsburgh. Two places I can go to get amazingly flavorful food for a good, low price: Primanti's, and Panda Garden!

The best darned Asian restaurant in town! My family and I frequent Panda Garden pretty regularly. We LOVE it! We normally always order take-out, as the atmosphere of the place is not so great. But the Kung Bao is TERRIFIC! I have had few (if any) better Kung Bao chicken dishes ANYWHERE! The owner is a very nice man, is the head chef, and he and his wife seem to do ALL of the cookiing. I have NEVER been disappointed with Panda Garden.
The high school girls he usually hires as servers actually do a pretty good job, considering that they are high school girls.
The atmosphere is actually pretty pleasant most of the time, but periodically he will have the volume of that TV jacked up beyond belief, and with some of the most annoying programs. As I said, my family and I normally do take-out.
The egg rolls are great, but disappointingly small. The won ton soup is good, but is really light on flavor. I always need to add soy sauce to it. The rice is ALWAYS cooked to absolute PERFECTION!
In fact, one of my favorite meals for kicking back on a college football saturday and watching the games ALL DAY is take-out from Panda Garden! Also GREAT on those cold, snowy winter nights when you don't feel like cooking, don't want to spend a fortune, but still want something DELICIOUS! If you live in Bethel Park, PANDA GARDEN IS AWESOME!
They are closed on Mondays. But to be honest, I once ordered take-out on a Monday, and the owner is such a nice man, he made the food for me ANYWAY! The owner is a GREAT man!
