This is a reasonable hotel for the price. Train noise can get to be a bit much about 3 A. M. but we lived through it.

I have stayed here several times. The Staff is very helpful and knows the area. I havent been there for breakfast due to my schedule so cant comment on that.

Everything in the room was very clean and well maintained. The lobby and grounds looked good as well. TV got a decent amount of channels. There were two maddening issues. My phone was never able to connect to their internet even though I used the password given me. Also, the keys they make for you are good for one use only. Every time you go in and out of your room you have to get the key remade. That is ridiculous. The desk clerk tried to claim it is because the cards were in the same pocket as my cell phone. First of all, the cards were in my wallet, not my pocket and I didn't take my phone with me anywhere, I just kept it in the room because, in Dalhart, everywhere you go, you have to sign in to that company's internet. When I mentioned this to management, she said that is the case everywhere. Actually, I had never experienced that situation anywhere. Most places I go to, my phone's internet is good everywhere I go, even out of state. So the hotel is clean and well maintained, but when it comes to dealing with the two maddening issues, they just make excuses.I may or may not stay here again, I haven't ruled out staying there again.

Our room was clean for the most part, however there were a few issues. The TV remote control did not work and needed new batteries. The bathroom door was warped and would not fully close, and the toilet had a shim however it was loose and would wobble when you sat down. Also, it would be nice if the refrigerators had a freezer section for ice packs. Breakfast area is very small and crowded.

Not a good experience in many ways. I typed them out only to have them disappear - won't go through that again. Not a very warm and welcoming front desk.
