Worst hotel i have stayed at in my life
winston703on 01/11/2017 18:53Stayed Oct 26-17 for a wedding in the area.
long time to check in, front desk person was not to concerned about his guests rather his personal conversation. Did check in 1 hour early which was appreciated.
Hotel hallways were dark, dirty and smelt horrible. Get into the room. furniture was decent. newer bed, night stands, etc. Carpet must be original to the hotel. yellow and orange and dirty. had not been cleaned in a while. Wall outlets lets were missing covers, old outlets that had been removed were exposed and wires could be seen with the caps on them. Did not shower in this hotel, shower curtain was dirty, only 1 towels for 2 guests in the room. Bathroom was very small, could not have 2 people in there to get ready. if you are over 6ft you will hit the roof. room was a good size. Ceiling has clearly had water damage and was re dry walled by someone who didn't have a clue. felt like i was staying an old run down hotel in the middle of no where. not what i would expect from a hotel chain
front desk person at check out was the least friendly i have ever seen. did not want to be there and when i checked out did not say a word to me. looked blankly at me like it was a big deal to have her look up from his phone.
for an extra $30.00 go down the road and stay at the comfort inn.
Rude Service and Filthy Rooms
Andrew Lon 26/10/2017 04:11Upon arrival the hotel as well as the room appeared to be in various stages of "drywall repair" and trash cans outside the building had not been emptied in some time. After checking in and entering the room I was met by a strong musty odour and an extremely filthy room. The walls of the room were also covered in a number of large drywall patches that obviously had not been carried out by a professional. Whomever had performed the repair had not bothered to clean up, leaving drywall dust and large chunks of drywall all over the carpet and washroom floor. I was not able to access any channels on the television except for a local radio station. Breakfast was subpar and not monitored by hotel staff who made no effort to restock the low supply of food offered. Requesting a bill at the front desk required long waits for a rude and gruff lady who was more interested in her computer screen. If it wasn't for an early morning job interview and the lack of vacancy in this tourist town I would have requested a refund and gone elsewhere.

mtmhbon 23/10/2017 18:15The assistant manager was great! Very accommodating, friendly and eager to please. He could only do so much. The property wasn't the best kept, the building is in poor condition, With terrible attempts with renovations, cleanliness is optional. The first room had dried blood on the comforter, thread bare towels, carpet was dirty, hair in shower and on bathroom floor. Holes in the wall and a musty smell from the shower curtains bedroom curtains hanging off the rod.
The second room- we switched to did not have the musty smell and was marginally better-- carpet still dirty.
The breakfast which was included - did not look appetizing so we ate out- plus the general dirtiness of the hotel was not an inviting experience.
We did get a good rate- so I guess you get what you pay for- they had increased their prices to double what I spent per night for the weekend- I would have been pretty angry to have paid that amount.
The cleaning staff didn't show the one day of our three day visit, so the poor guy at the desk took over the role of cleaning the hotel as well.
It's too bad this isn't taken care of better, the building is not that old. Huntsville is a beautiful spot, this hotel could use better management!

Needs Changes
Cherk59on 12/10/2017 19:41The hotel would be nice if the little maintenance things were taken care of. Puddy on the walls, toilet not bolted down. Switches not working and breakfast sucks! It would not take much to fix these things. Baffles me why they don't update their breakfast offerings when there are so many complaints about it. On the plus side: The furnishings and beds are good. It's all the rest!
