It was a really tiny room and the "private bathroom" is just a shower cabin (not too helpful on the privacy side either as it was transparent, save for small opaque parts) and equally tiny toilet. The two of us could hardly move around the room. Wi-fi goes on and off. The only reason we booked it was due to the price and it's proximity to the Victoria station as we had to take an early bus from the Victoria Coach Station.
Thankfully, our room was only on the 1st floor so we saved ourselves the trouble of dragging our heavy luggages up the stairs.

London, near Victoria Station. Small room, tiny shower, mediocre breakfast. And the wi fi was not working. But for some reason, we slept okay. Had to pay to leave our luggage in storage for a few hours the next day.

stopped in this hotel with the wife for a couple of nights and it was ok for the price.it was clean and tidy. the man who dealt with us was pleasant and very helpful when i told him it was our first time in london.the only thing missing in our room was somewhere to hang our clothes,but that might be because we only booked a small double,the location is fantastic.5 minutes from victoria station and only a 15 minute walk to buckingham palace and bit further is big ben and lots of other sights.free wifi aswell i forgot to mention.all in all it was a good stayand have booked it again for next year.

Stayed here for a stag do and more than met our requirements after a night out. Cheap and cheerful with reasonably friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness was good but very basic as befits the price. The location is very good near Victoria station.

There are two good things about this hotel: location and it is fairly clean. The rest is a disaster.
The information and pictures posted by Surteees on some booking sites are deceiving and they are cheating their customers by not showing the complete information and facilities of the rooms.
For me and a friend of mine I have reserved a room with private bathroom and tea making facilities, but we had none of these.
We arrived at hotel about 13.30, but since the check-in was at 15:00, we could not see the room, we were not allowed. We left and returned at 01.00 AM and then we saw the room allocated to us, so it was too late to change something.
The "private bathroom" it was actually a shower cabin in the room (with transparent glass, the opaque part is very small and not useful), a minuscule toilet room and a sink between bed and window. No privacy at all like what you expect from a private bathroom. The existing pictures posted by them for double room with private bathroom are totally different, nowhere on the booking sites you will find pictures of this room (room 5); I would never reserved such a room if I knew how it really was.
A shower cabin in the room does not mean a private bathroom and there are some things where you need privacy. It was really odd and uncomfortable to take a shower while my friend was in the room and it was the same for her.
Beside the room, the attitude of the staff was rude and it look like they don't care as long as they took already the money from you. When I said to the guy from the reception that this is not what I have paid for, he was rude and actually he did not even bother to have a dialogue with me. For him, bathroom it means that shower cabin in the room, this is what he explained me and then he ignored me completely!
Horrible attitude of the staff, I never saw such a rude attitude and lack of respect to the customers in UK hotels or B&B like in Surtees.
At breakfast ( light continental breakfast, with butter, fruit jam, croissants, yogurt etc), they are not even bringing you a pot with tea to the table, there is a lady who is pouring the tea in your cup; beside the fact that the cups were small, she was filling half the cups!! It felt like making economy to tea!!
I will never come back to this hotel, I wonder how they survive on the market with this service and attitude.
