This is an okay place. I stayed there during my transit flight. I would not recommend this for family or a couple. Could be an option for spending a night in a room only. Staff members are courteous.
Food Options: A couple of good restaurants are in the vicinity
Malls: Close to one of the biggest malls

small hotel about 10 mins drive from the airport. there was a free shuttle. you just have to call them and tell them that you are at the airport and then someone comes. the hotel is hidden and on an inside street. i think it would be difficult to find if you didn't know where it was. internet was suppose to be free but we couldn't connect.

It was an urgent situation. I stayed there during my transit. I reached Chennai airport around 1:30 am and had to start for another place around 6 am. Someone from the airport only recommended this place and I didnt have much option at that time.
They sent a car to pick up. It was complimentary. They charged Rs. 1200 (NON AC) for those few hours. Since I reached at the off hour I did not see much but yes the area was creepy specially at night. Looked like a slum area - at least the surrounding of the hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable. I was traveling solo and there was no problem or disturbance.
However, I felt the price was high. It could have been done in Rs. 899 or so.
If you any other choice, you can get a better place or room at that price.

Not worth the money, don't go. For the money we paid we could have stayed somewhere a lot nicer. It's in a little back street, that my airport pre paid taxi driver took 1 hour to find! Take their telephone number if you decide to stay for some bizarre reason.
This hotel was booked for 4 reasons; free wifi, in-house coffee shop, room service and airport pick up/drop off. "Wifi not possible" with no apology or explanation. No coffee shop. Room service consisted of being handed a restaurant delivery menu from somewhere. And they did not arrive to pick me up at the airport even after several phone calls and emails clarifying my flight details and them confirming they would pick me up. After over half an hour, and several more phone calls of "2 minutes" it did eventually come..
The sheets were stained, and no hot water. But the TV at least had a couple of decent movie channels..

We have been traveling for two months and we found this place somewhere near the airport but is really far away from the airport the place is located in the complicated part of town but once you are inside you feel comfortable, protected, and is very clean. The staff at the front desk if you can call that a front desk is very helpful and accommodating. We had an amazing night and day provided us whatever we needed. The room we had was perhaps one of the best ones we had in India. We were very lucky to find this place for the price that we found. No it's not the best place yes is very convenient but to spend the night before you get a plane or you have to go to the airport is a perfect location.
