We stayed in the holiday home. Great property with open plan living downstairs. Convenient location for Weymouth and Jurassic coast. The kids loved the chickens, ducks and pigs living in the garden.
All in all a great holiday in a lovely property. Definately recommend
Perfection

We have just returned from a long weekend at Swallows Rest. Our room was so comfortable and the view over the garden out to the estuary was gorgeous. However, the garden (or its inhabitants) deserve a special mention. Bantams, chickens, ducks and geese... a rather special pheasant and George and Mildred the pigs. I’m sure breakfast took twice as long because the menagerie was so entertaining!
Our welcome on arrival was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The choices for breakfast were excellent, including the full English, and we’ve never had better. The home made cakes left in our room for afternoon tea were luscious too!
It’s rare to find a B&B anywhere as good as this. We plan to return as soon as we can!
Really Friendly

I booked this B&B on a tip from a friend for a fishing trip to Weymouth. A really friendly welcome and an upgrade to a room with a view over the wonderful garden. They even have a set of binoculars in the room to help watch the birds. The cake and coffee in the room were most welcome after a long days fishing.
Freshly cooked breakfast and a large pot of excellent coffee to set you up for the day.
All in all a really great B&B
Wonderful family-friendly getaway

I’ve stayed here twice with my family and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a chilled-out getaway.
It’s close enough to get into Weymouth and Portland easily but far away for it to feel like you’re in the middle of the country. The Fleet with its quiet little beaches is just a few minutes’ walk away across fields of horses and alpacas, there’s a private garden full of rare breed chickens, pheasants and friendly pigs, and if that’s not enough there’s a hot tub you can sit in while watching the sunset.
The owners are friendly and will provide you with freshly laid eggs from the garden for a very small price, along with locally sourced honey, meat and other products.
Rooms are comfy and the three-bedroom cottage is entirely en-suite.
Overall, well worth visiting, particularly if you’re staying with kids and looking for somewhere affordable for a relaxing break.
Fantastic B&B

We have stayed in several B&Bs in The Weymouth area in recent years and Swallows Rest is in a class of its own. The family room is so spacious with very comfortable beds and a wonderful modern bathroom. Everything had been thought of with a selection of teas and coffees as well as chocolate and home made cakes in the room. Jane was really welcoming serving us drinks and homemade shortbread in the dining room on arrival and even offering to dry our clothes after we got caught in a downpour whilst out walking on Portland.
The location is fantastic, a short drive to both Weymouth and Portland and right on the coastal path for beautiful walks. So nice to be able to park right outside as we have had big problems finding parking at other Weymouth B&Bs.
Will definitely be our first choice next time we visit the area.
