A lovely hotel with a great location

We spent three nights at the guesthouse. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival at 2pm. Despite arriving prior to checkin, we were allowed access to our room then encouraged to explore. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The guesthouse is in a great location that allows for easy access to the sites on foot or via public transportation. Our room was adorable with an amazing view of the Pantheon’s dome. It was abnormally warm for October which made the room a bit uncomfortable. When we opened the windows to cool the room, the noise was overwhelming. However, the location, staff, and rooms made me love the guesthouse. If we return to Lisbon, we’d stay there again and use ear plugs to allow a better nights sleep.
It is convenient to the train station

We flew into Lisbon and took a subway to the Apalonia Train Station and walked up the hill to the Sweet Lisbon Guesthouse - The name is somewhat misleading
It took us some time to find the Sweet Lisbon Guesthouse. We never did find a sign and it is not on street level
The woman who met us was very friendly and showed us everything and then showed us our room
The rooms are clean, comfortable and breakfast was pretty good but crowded
The reason for staying there was proximity to the train station to get an early train to Porto. That being said it was an ok place for a night
Nice place close to the heart of Alfama

A very convenient and comfortable place to stay - with a comfortable sitting room and kitchen - and eight private rooms. The staff are very friendly and ask you to treat it as home. It does feel like that. Only a short walk from Santa Apolonia station.
Beautiful guesthouse

Walking to the building outside I began to get nervous. Doesn't look great but then I got into the guesthouse and was so happy. Beautiful place and a smashing room great bathroom as well (maybe room 8). It was my girlfriends birthday and I had rang and asked for wine or chocolates in the room. No problems at all beautiful wine beautiful chocs and all for about 14 euro. Great value all round. Breakfast like most European cities is cold but more than sufficient (left room for a pastry in one of many cafes in lisbon). We will be back to both the city and to this hotel. Thank you so much
Staff very helpful

We landed in Lisbon before 7:00 AM and took a cab to Sweet Lisbon, something like 15€, first pleasant surprise. We got to the hotel before 9:00 and we were shown our room and offered coffee. More pleasant surprise. We could not register before 4 PM but had complete access to the room and hotel for the rest of the day.
Staff had helpful suggestions about where to go in and near Lisbon and how to get around the city. We wanted to visit Fatima, know the bus station we needed to reach but staff showed us best subway route to get there.
Staff recommended visit to Belem, for renown pastisse after having a local version at their breakfast. Nearby Pastisse Belem is Jeronimos Monestery, a massive, impressive structure where among other things, Vasco Da Gama, is entombed.
The long line at Pastisse Belem moved fast. The only bakery item there was the Pastisse, which were delicious. It is a local bus to Belem, but takes about 1/2 hour each way.
We had to leave early, before breakfast to get a flight to Malaga. Staff left us breakfast to eat or take with us before regular breakfast time. Guest house is clean, comfortable, and as indicated, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but good, cold cuts, cheese, bread, yogurt. There is a comfortable lounge with the one tv in the guest house, which no one ever turned on. Wifi worked ok in our room, better in the lounge.
We shall spend 2 nights in Lisbon before returning to the US and booked Sweet Lisbon before we checked out.
