Six of us stayed at the Empress from Wednesday to Sunday the Hotel is an ideal part of Douglas . We had Twin Rooms overlooking the water the breakfast was magnificent with as much as you can eat . Rooms are spotless and comfortable with a great telly . Staff are friendly and anything not a bother , will be back again .

Stayed here the last 2 weeks. Hotel is along the sea front, approx 10 mins stroll from the centre of town. It’s a typical British sea side hotel, the like you see in Blackpool and Scarborough. Decor is a bit dated in public areas and the rooms.
Check in was quick and friendly.
Rooms aren’t over big but are comfy and warm and the shower is good. It can be a bit noisy of an evening and one morning we had someone try to enter our room at 5am, a bit disconcerting for 2 ladies...reception didn’t seem overly concerned when we told them.
Breakfast is good, loads of choices and though buffet style they keep the levels low to turn over fresh food.

I booked two double sea view rooms for Saturday night. We haven't stayed here before but I was impressed, the rooms were great, very clean, my husband was well pleased with the huge television with sky. We had a few drinks in the bar before and after our night in town. Reception and bar areas very nice. Staff great. The breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend.

Had a room overlooking the seafront.
Wonderful view. Room spacious and recently refurbished. Bed and pillows good and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Parking can be a problem as it always busy along the seafront, but we were o.k.
Thank you for a nice weekend. Our first trip to the IOM.

Just went to the Empress on an off chance.of getting a few drinks and something to eat. Great service at the bar and nice food. We went in a Tuesday and asked for a few requests on the piano. What a great and talented guy Phil is and very accommodating with a few of our requests. He even played a Billy Joel classis wow.
Great evening entertainment!
