Great modern motel with a lovely pool. Rooms where spotless and funky. Plenty of space and orange. Reception very friendly and loved the pastries for breakfast. Loads of good food in neighbourhood. Free parking too.

Wow! What a perfect secret! Great location! Friendly staff and great service! Wonderful coffee bar 24/7! Super comfy beds and plenty of room! Nice and quiet, great pool area, close to restaurants and shopping! We used Uber to go everywhere and it was so affordable! The Mexican Restaurant right next door has the greatest margaritas and the best food! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! Can't wait to come back and stay at The Tangerine!

What a great place to stay. It's an older motel that has been refurbished. The rooms are clean, roomy, nicely decorated, and there is plenty of hot water. The staff is exceptionally friendly. A big surprise was the pastry from Porto's bakery that is available every morning in the lobby. Porto's pastry is to die for. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance, including the original Bob's Big Boy restaurant. My wife and I would stay here again if we were ever in the Burbank area.

It depends on what you’re looking for from a place to stay - The Tangerine is a motel, not a hotel so if you just need a clean place to crash whilst you’re out being a tourist during the day then it’s great. It’s on a busy road so whilst you’re outside it is loud but in the rooms we weren’t disturbed at all. The small heated pool is beside the car park area (but that is small as well) and has the road the other side of it so it doesn’t feel particularly private but it was nice nonetheless. In terms of area, Burbank is nice and has some restaurants near by. There is Universal Studios in ‘walking distance’ which is greater but in the heat it is hard to walk too far anyway! We tended to use Uber to get around and found that really convenient. The staff are very pleasant and the pastries for breakfast were nice as well.

Room - A compact room, with comfortable beds (we had two queen sized beds as a family of 4), a fridge and TV. Aircon, was a little blocked by the bed, but was still effective.
Staff - all were helpful, friendly. They would often help with travel advice. We had a minor problem with the TV that was rectified in a matter of minutes.
Facilities - plenty of parking at the back of the motel, and plenty of free, safe onstreet parking within a few moments walk (as close as the car parking!). The pool, whilst small, was lovely and refreshing and never overly busy.
Tea / coffee / hot chocolate was available via a decent quality drinks machine in reception - it was always well stocked with sugar and napkins etc.
Breakfast - a large volume and variety of pastries / muffins from a local bakery. There was plenty available and made a great start to the day.
Location - excellent. Walking distance to WB, 2-3 miles to Universal, and plenty of restaurants within a few minutes / blocks walk.
We booked in advance via Booking.com and got a great deal.
This is a fantastic hotel, and I definitely recommend staying here. Really nice.
