Just recently returned from our second year at Taormina hotel! Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily, great basic breakfast, comfy beds, great location on a quiet side street within 2 mins walk to the bus stop, pharmacy, tourist info centre and the main town centre where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and most importantly the lake side! Bardolino is a beautiful place with access to lots of other local towns. But what stands out the most for us and keeps us returning are the staff - particularly Giovanni and Laura. They are the loveliest people and can't do enough for you!
Our first visit last year almost ended in disaster when our holiday company low cost holidays went into administration the night before we arrived and cancelled our reservation without telling us, so we arrive to find we have no room as it was snapped up in a second - however before we even had time to panic Giovanni came to the rescue and sorted us a room in another hotel for a few nights, then back to him for the rest of our stay - amazing!)
I can't wait to go back a third time. Thank you for another wonderful stay Taormina!

Spotlessly clean hotel in a fantastic location. Friendly & helpful staff. Comfy beds, fine breakfast. Walking distance to everything. Lots of lovely shops and restaurants a two minute walk away. Would definitely recommend for a two star.

We recently stayed a week here, the hotel is in a nice side street very close to the old town and lakeside. It's also very convenient for the tourist information and main bus stop.
The stand out feature of this hotel is the very caring and helpful staff, (hence my 5/5 rating). Our huge thanks to Giovanni and Laura, for the lovely friendly welcome you gave us on our arrival day. Also our thanks to Ivana for all the great help and advice she provided during our stay, as well as organising us a breakfast which was set aside for when we had a very early start one morning, as it was before breakfast serving time.
The hotel reserves the same breakfast table for you for your whole stay, which is lovely. The hard working staff member who looks the breakfast room always gave a cheerful welcome every morning. Breakfast choice (included in our stay) was good, cereals, croissants, cold meats, cheese, eggs, youghurts, toast, bread rolls, various jams etc. Drinks were from a machine, and inc various coffees & hot chocolate. There was also 2 types of juice and a selection of different teas.
Our room was lovely and clean (we had a standard double) which was well looked after by housekeeping daily. The room had a small balcony with table and chairs. As with most hotels there is some room noise transference, which was the same for everybody. It's all about guests being courteous for others. We also heard live entertainment from nearby restaurants during the evenings, which didn't really trouble us, except for the couple of evenings it went on later than usual.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at the Hotel Taormina, which was very reasonably priced. Bardolino is a lovely town as a base to visit places on east side of Lake Garda.

Cannot say enough about Hotel Taormina.It is located in a quiet area with ample parking just walking distance from the old city.Our room was spotless, good sized.Bathroom was good size also.The owners and staff were so kind and breakfast was good.There is a nice seating area attached where we sat with our friends and visited and had a drink on several nights.Totally enjoyed our stay, as did our friends and would definitely recommend when visiting Bardolino.

Just returned from a week at this hotel. After our arrival I decided I was going to write a review on the excellent welcome given by the owner Giovanni, probably the best we have ever had and we've been around.
However more was to follow. I left a bag in another resort on the lake after visiting by boat as we had no car. The lengths that Giovanni went to retrieve this for me was way above and beyond what I expected or probably deserved! A nicer man you will not meet. His wife Laure and other staff were also excellent.
I wont repeat the other recent comments other than confirm that all the positive comments are correct.
We don't often return to resorts but would recommend this hotel to anybody.
