We've stayed in a lot of hostels and hotels in Ghana but mostly quite modestly. At the end of this particular trip we splashed out to have a bit of comfort untypical of a developing country - and we wanted to be close to the airport so this was ideal.
It's a lovely hotel foyer, clearly trying to do 4-5 star. Loads of staff and all look gorgeous in smart African/Euro attire. When I asked about needing a tailor to take in a dress - bit of an odd request - they were great at offering me the hotel tailor. We ate at the bar which was fine, in fact here you could have been anywhere in the world and this is maybe why it was full of pilots and airline staff. I hadn't seen quite so many white faces in a while. Clean, cool bedrooms with crisp white sheets and a lot of hot water. Breakfast buffet which had everything you'd get in U.K. Pool area is lovely but it's position on the side of the hotel means you're right next to the main roads, which as anyone who's been to Accra knows, means constant car horns, pollution and craziness.
It was great as a last night and we were in need of some comfort. So on that basis, I'd say it was a thumbs up from us.

I came to Ghana on holiday for 3 nights. A friend of mind recommended this hotel and told me it’s the presidents sons hotel which made me want to stay here even more.
Situated in close proximity to the airport 5-10min away I arrived in no time. The doorman greeted me after parking up and whisked my suitcase over to the reception desk. Check in went swiftly then was shown to my room on the second floor. Being a standard room it was a good size for just me and the layout was nice, new Samsung air conditioning unit , bed comfortable and had all the amenities mentioned.That same night after coming back from Accra Mall which is a 5minute walk away I noticed an unexpected water leak in the bathroom,after telling the staff they relocated me to the 4th floor. This room was bigger however it had a weaker Air conditioning Unit (It was an older and a different brand to the Samsung one I had before)and the bulb above the shower which is great for applying makeup by the way, didn’t work either.Being another disappointment I let the hotel know and I was moved to the room across the hallway which was very spacious and the air conditioning unit was much better than the 2nd room. I remained in this room for the remainder of my stay and I was very happy.
My second day I spent the afternoon by the pool soaking up the sun I was extremely impressed, there were showers, free towels and a pool bar. I ordered penne arrabbiata for lunch it came nice and hot and was a big portion :) after the pool I arranged with the hotel driver to take me to the Arts centre only 25min drive away(I paid him 50 cedi per hour)It’s an out door market with lots of Ghanaian artefacts,paintings and souvenirs. The local people who work there are so friendly and funny I really enjoyed my time there. My driver named Foster helped me negotiate the price and he waited for me whilst I shopped then dropped me back to the hotel. That night I tucked in to the hotel buffet it only costed 110 cedi (£20) it was so delicious. Throughout my stay I was entitled to a free buffet breakfast which was lovely too and had a wide variety of hot entrees and fruit. On my final day I experienced the free airport shuttle service that leaves the hotel on the hour. The mini bus was clean and the drive was only 5minutes to the airport.
Overall my stay was fantastic. The staff made me feel so welcomed and were extremely accommodating throughout my entire stay. Gym was great, laundry service outstanding. Live music in the lobby in the evening was lovely and I loved the music by the pool too.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and an excellent breakfast buffet. Quiet and clean room and close to the airport and mall. The lobby is very well decorated.The mall is a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent choice for service and location. Located near the airport and across the street from the Accra Mall, the hotel is a great place to stay. It is walking distance ( a few kilometers) to the University of Ghana and a taxi ride to most central locations. The rooms are nice and beds comfortable. Perhaps the best part of the hotel is the service. Very friendly and helpful people and a great breakfast included with the room. Don't forget to take advantage of the free airport shuttle.

Good location, serene,clean,good selection of food in the restaurant and services are fantastic. Waiters greeting you with a smile always no matter the no of times you go through the doors .Just Love the place. Seen significant upgrades in the rooms and compound . Keep it up guys
