Safe quite street
mochagal37on 20/06/2017 05:19We stayed at the Bakadeer Inn for 2 nights. The rates were fairly good for 3 twin beds. We got a simple room with WiFi, Cable TV, and warm/hot water. The towels were fairly good but no wash clothes offered. There are no safety deposit box in your room but there is a drawer and a key for you to store stuff. The hotel did offer a very simple breakfast consisting of fruits, cereals, milk, toast, cheese and coffee. The hotel is located on a quite street. Okay to walk around during the day but definitely NOT at night. It is advised that you take a taxi at night. The homes next door looks like it can come down on the next heavy rain. Penny and Maggie and the rest of the hotel staff were very nice and helpful overall.
Great value
grouse2017on 18/02/2017 00:08We chose this inn because of its location and value. In general, it is conveniently located, but watch out for the holes in the sidewalks in this part of town. Restaurants (i.e., Riverside Tavern) and ferries are close so you will not have to walk far. A cab ride to the other side of town is just a few dollars. The amount of money you save on this inn when compared with the Radisson would pay for a lot of cab trips plus an evening at a restaurant. This is a nice clean inn with wifi. We will probably stay here if we return to Belize City in the future.
Scispy clean bed sheets
Luimar99on 12/02/2017 22:05It was all what I needed for two days stay in the city. Very clean room with necessary basic furnishing, fast wifi, clean and fresh smelling bed sheets. The upstair room was quiet the Wednesday night, but on Thursday there was a quite noisy music from the nearby bar until late night. There was no view or good daylight coming from the windows since both of them faced close walls. In general great only for short night stay.
accurate reviews: nice, basic, convenient, comfortable, super friendly, with great wifi
asl13on 03/02/2017 02:49all the tripadvisor reviews i read were pretty accurate so i'm very happy with my stay.. i just needed a clean, quiet stopover spot on my way to caye caulker.. the staff is super friendly and helpful.. the highest rated riverside tavern is right around the corner, as is nerie's for cheap, authentic, delicious local food.. it's a short walk to the swing bridge and water taxis.. there are tons of cable tv channels if you just want to veg after a long flight and the wifi works great.. this place was exactly what i was looking for and the neighborhood is totally fine and not sketchy as some ppl have stated and i'm saying this as a young solo female traveler for this trip.. it's not the slightest bit sketchy if you have done even the tiniest bit of traveling outside of your home country
Nice little place
Lisa Gon 06/11/2016 17:50This hotel is a nice little place, not far from the bus station, the ferry or restaurants. We stayed there for one night. The rooms are very clean. But you have to like green :-D Penny is very nice, friendly, funny and helpful. Just another hint - don't try to check out Belize city on a Sunday, everything is closed.
