The room and all the facilities at the Ballantyne are very well appointed. The room was comfortable, and modern regarding a generous number of plugs for charging and running multiple gadgets.
There are a multitude of restaurant choices nearby, but that segues into the downside: the area around the hotel is heavily trafficked. It is not a relaxing, out in the country type of place. Outside, the sound of traffic is always prevalent.

We recently held a family wedding at The Lodge at Ballantyne. It was the perfect chic, rustic location for a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the fall leaves and grounds and a wonderful, warm reception inside. I cannot say enough about the venue, the staff, the FOOD and our coordinator, Ashley. The Lodge has rooms guests can stay and enjoy the entire wedding event start to finish. Pool tables and ping pong were perfect distraction for the men in the wedding party (or you can play golf, go to the spa - we did all of this!) to relax before the festivities. The food is outstanding. The chefs from The Ballantyne Hotel created an amazing blend of appetizers and exceptional food for our guests. Everything was perfect for our big day. Ashley and the team at The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge are terrific!

The hotel is pretty. Service not the same quality as Ritz level. I️ upgraded to a Balcony room (304) and found a tree, parking lot and road noise from the balcony. The plus was beautiful meeting spaces, elegant furnishings, lovely outdoor spaces. Banquet food buffets more than adequate.

We brought our children for a cheerleading competition and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The hotel was lovely and the staff was friendly. Our children loved the pool and had an amazing time. I hope we have to go back to Charlotte soon so we can stay again.

I will start with the positives. The building and facilities are lovely. The lobby sitting area is comfortable and the rooms are nice and large.
The negatives... the location of the hotel is between two busy roads so there is constant traffic noise. Additionally our room was close to an elevator so there was noise and vibration from this operating throughout the night.
Finally, the concierge/ booking staff are very poor. We emailed the hotel on three separate occasions trying to book golf and a spa treatment with no response. Unable to phone as we live overseas I had to contact them via Facebook messenger to get anyone to deal with this. Then when we arrive at the hotel they had booked it incorrectly and the spa could not rectify this. So what was suppose to be a relaxing birthday was spoilt.
It’s a shame, as the facilities are so nice, but the hotel is not worth the money.
