Attention to detail throughout.
More amenities than expected with the fitness center and spa, pool bar, and rooftop tennis. Live entertainment and the food was excellent.
Close proximity to historic areas as well.

jon son 09/06/2017 15:47Wonderful facility with lots of charecter and history. lobby is special - they do not build them like this anymore. very helpful and speedy check-in. rooms are not "cookie-cutter." have some charecter to them - high ceilings, etc. very nice executive lounge. has two bars on the lobby level - one is a piano bar - really quite nice and lively; the other is more of a sports bar. located smack downtown in easy walking distance to the convention center, city hall, etc. will definately stay here again.

TampaTripson 07/06/2017 05:34Terrific views, old world elegance. This hotel has the history and upscale feel of an established historic venue. There is a spa, fitness room and pool onsite. From its central location you can literally walk to everything in downtown Mobile which is wonderful because parking can be a serious challenge in downtown. Friendly and helpful staff!
Great hotel with few cons
DIOGENES Lon 06/06/2017 13:17The hotel looks fantastic. I was afraid a building built in 1852 will smell of mold; but, no smell. It may probably be the most luxurious hotel in the entire state of Alabama. Staff was very friendly. Wish hotel would offer self parking option. The valet people are nice; but it was not easy to reach them and the wait for a car was up to 30 minutes on one afternoon.
Club lounge was nice. Nothing to write home about, but basic offerings and a professional attendant who restocked food periodically. Unfortunately, the open hours are very limited; you cant just walk in in the afternoon and get a bottle of water. And, evening service is not offered Fri-Sun.
I had a room adjacent to the lounge-bad idea! Every morning I was awoken by the squeaky sound of moving chairs from the club.
Gym was fantastic! They have locker rooms and showers there, too.

srllsanzon 04/06/2017 21:58The Battle House never disappoints. Rooms are clean, lobby is beautiful and the staff was very attentive. Also, great location in downtown Mobile. Plenty of great restaurant within walking distance. Only issue is parking. There is very little so valet is a must and it can get pricy on a long stay.
