We had a fantastic time at The Belmont. Super full English breakfast cooked by Shelly, served up by Jon with smiles & friendly chat. Spacious room with complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities...plus biccies! A real Gem in Torquay.

A lovely welcome the proprietor Jon collected our luggage from the car and delivered it to our room. We discovered he and co proprietor Shelley both are originally from within a few miles of where live so we enjoyed some banter during our 5 day stay. Our room was very comfortable although we were on top floor(NO Lift/Elevator) 70 step staircase from ground up. I only make this point should readers have mobility issues, likewise the dining room is one flight of stairs below reception. Breakfast was lovely beautifully cooked and presented and a good selection catering for everyone. Evening meals are available just across the street at the local pub,. Quality! Go on, Try it!

The hotel was lovely so was the owners. Only had a few days there but, enjoyed everyday talking and chatting with the owners. Beautiful view of the sea every day and the rooms were gorgeous and very big.

Lovely bank holiday stay at The Belmont. Was greeted by Shelly who showed us to are lovely clean room. The room had a lovely comfortable bed and good ensuite. The full English breakfast was lovely. Had a lovely weekend in Torquay and stay at The Belmont and hope to return to both in the future.

We had two rooms whilst visiting here with my family last week. Both rooms were lovely decorated and presented. Jon and shell are lovely owners you are give you tips to try whilst visiting and are very friendly whilst not being overbearing like some b&b owners I 've experiences have been. You have a great selection available for breakfast each day. The rooms are tended to each day and the how house has a lovely chilled vibe to it. You are just a stone throw away from the water and plenty if different restaurants to visit. The town it self has everything you need. As well as having great access to the rest of the South of Devon. I would highly recommend staying at the Belmont when visiting Torquay. Thank you Shelly and Jon for a lovely week x
