What People are saying

Great decor but poor showers and pinesol smelling linens

DenverElizabeth on 14/08/2017 00:41

We rented a two bedroom unit with a mountain view. It was exactly as shown, nicely decorated, in good repair, and the kitchen well stocked. However, both showers were terrible for different reasons. The master bath shower had a cheap industrial shower head that blasted water that felt like pin pricks. The second bath showerhead had such a wide spray getting wet was a challenge. The other issue was the strong pine-like sanitized smell of the sheets and towels which permeated the unit. Clean should have no smell. My unit was managed by Wyndham so I assume these issues are a function of the property management. I will avoid Wyndham in the future.

Spring break senior trip

We took or family of 4 to the borders for spring break. We arrived at 4 and were greated by the front desk. They checked us in quickly and got us into the room. The room was a simple two bedroom condo. The ski in/out portion is not very easy but works. The runs to the lift at the condo or tight and blues but you can work your way to it. The locker room is small and works the lockers could use blowers to dry gear. The Beaver creek vans make frequent trips to the hotel and the rides are short 5 mins to the base. Overall it was a great trip.

Great location - units are well maintained

Great location at Beaver - Can ski in/ out staring to/ from the ski room. If you want to get to the ski school/ ice rink area - 5 minutes ride from the centennial lift and a very available shuttle all day long - if you are up for an uphill walk, should not take more than 10 minutes.
Units are well maintained - especially the refreshed ones. Great staff - always helpful. Convenient garage, outdoors hot tub and heated pool are great as well - especially when it snows.
We LOVE Beaver Creek and came back to Borders 3 times - very consistent experience.
Could use some touch up for the ski room - hence not 5 stars.

No a/c in the summer

STL7153 on 14/07/2016 18:52

We stayed in a 2-bedroom condo at Borders Lodge. After check-in, I learned that none of the condos in Beaver Creek have air conditioning, and that the second bedroom in our unit had no windows. If you are staying in the summer, be sure to request a unit with windows in both bedrooms so you can take advantage of the beautiful view and cool breezes.
I was also puzzled by the lack of closets and benches for ski gear - if you are visiting in the winter, I'm not sure where you would put your wet ski boots, coats, and other ski equipment.
Other than that, the unit was comfortable, clean and well-stocked with dishes and toiletries.

On the favourite list.

Yes I would stay here again. This was the best accommodation in our three week stay in the USA. The one bedroom apartment we stayed it was fabulous. A large kitchen to cook, a huge bathroom and spa bath. Everyone was very nice, staff were excellent. Ski out the back door. Ski lockers downstairs. Warning front desk is not manned 24 hours a day so if arriving late / or are held up be aware of this. The BC Village is a shuttle ride away and they come very frequently. you can walk .. its not very far. It you don't have a car and are staying at the back condos you will need to walk your bags yourself as no staff available, but an easily accessible path is available with some steps involved.
