Cheap & Central

Stayed here during the October bank holiday weekend as we attended a graduation in the Strand hotel and wanted to stay somewhere a little cheaper. When we first entered the hotel the receptionist was lovely! She explained everything clearly and did give a warning that it could get very noisy as the rooms are above a bar but we didnt mind as we werent going to be back until late. We also didnt have to pay anything for parking as we arrived Saturday evening and parking was free everywhere on Sundays - so that was a nice bonus! The rooms were spotless and not too crammed seeming as we were in the city centre. Breakfast was included and it was what we needed after a late night out. All the staff here were great and seemed hard working! It was a great stay if you are thinking of heading down to Limerick with some friends for a weekend to head out as it is so central. The only issue I had was the shower... they are old and narrow and if you have the hair already done and want to go for a shower without ruining your hair there is no chance!
Great location, excellent staff

Hotel is in an excellent location, breakfast is top-notch, receptionists are very serviceminded helpful people, the down side are the bathrooms and showers, we had an ensuite room, our shower had mold, we were happy we travelled with slippers to used them on the shower.
Mixed review.

Positives: The included breakfast is delicious. You order anything you want. Well prepared with great coffee too.
Staff is awesome. (See below) If not for the desk clerk, our stay might have been a disaster because of the room location.
Great location. You can easily walk to everything.
Negatives: You have to pay for parking. Without help you will have no idea where to park. There is only one car park that works with this hotel to give you reduced parking fees (9 euros/day) Ask at the desk where it is. Otherwise you will pay 20 euros per day.
Reviews say it is noisy. I read the reviews and when we checked in I asked for a room in the back away from the bar noise. It was a Thursday and no quiet rooms were available. But the desk clerk moved us to a quiet room the next night (Friday). She was awesome. The room(s) we had were old and run down somewhat. Things were broken that needed to be repaired, but the rooms were spotlessly clean. The shower is indeed the smallest shower we had ever seen, but we just took a picture and went on. (Don't drop your soap. You have to scoot it around to the edge to squat down to get it. And I am a small woman.)
Great Location,noisy area!

Stayed in The Boutique as I was doing a work course.very centrally located in the city.ideal walking distance for shopping, cafes, restaurants and nightlife.however the noisy street outside is the only downfall but this was outlined in the email booking and on arrival at check-in.breakfast was very good and The Old Quarter pub next door was useful to eat in,it also had very nice food.room was clean and comfortable and staff were very pleasant
Stay Away

I can't overstate how loud the noise is. The hotel sits above bar that had live music on the weekend. Our room literally shakes from vibrations. The hotel claims they warned us about noise in an email. Not really, they said there would be noise from neighboring bars, nothing about the bar they own. Completely unacceptable! Stay away if you want to sleep!
