We was delighted with our room for the night 'close'.. very spacious and extremely beautiful. Everything you would expect in a room.. yeah and coffee facilities, tv, wardrobe and units for plenty of clothes and bathroom with little toiletries and lovely very hot shower. The Bed was very comfy and lovely soft sheets. We was shown to our room by a lovely lady who welcomed us and explained the key system for late entry as we was attending a wedding reception. We enjoyed a lovely 'snack' meal when we arrived which was huge, well worth its money. We both chose a baguette and soft drink which was just over £16 (amazing!). The day staff were amazing, a lovely young girl was always on the go and was very polite and attentive to your requirements. When leaving The Slater for the wedding, the bar staff wished us a lovely evening (even tho they hadn't seen us before as was a new team by this point). On our arrival back to The Slater, we was just in time for a night cap which we was able to take to our room. We met the owner, lovely man very soft nature and very passionate about The Slater. In the morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast, cooked how we wanted it which was great. There was bread available for toasting and cereals on a table ready to serve yourself.
We was very impressed with our stay and if we ever need to stay in the area again this will be our first point of call for a room!
Good food reasonably priced

A large group of us booked as a farewell to a friend.
Service was good but food was slow to arrive but probably because it's all freshly cooked to order.
We had a wide variety of mains. From Gammon to lasagna. We had everything from salmon to lamb. The portions are large and come with ample chips and fresh vegetables.
Sweets were lovely can recommend the fruit sundae.
Every one was very satisfied and we all got served together.
With drinks it came in around £20 a head so happy eating.

Great dinner, very children friendly. Started cooking our little boys food ahead of 5.30 which is the usual starting time so he could get eating. Our food came quickly and very tasty. Lovely staff. The special fish pie was very nice and the sticky toffee pudding portion size was fantastic!!
Charming

Lovely old inn in the village of Collyweston. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Our room was (as someone else described) quirky but comfortable. The aircon was refreshing. Food is superb; especially the breakfasts.
