Great place to stay

Enjoyed staying here for 3 nights and found our cabin to be lovely and cosy. The pool was unclean and not very well looked after so we didn’t bother going in which is a shame. We missed breakfast the first morning because I wasn’t feeling well and the staff phoned our room to ask where we were. The next morning they phoned us up at 9:30 to ask if we were going to breakfast, which I didn’t appreciate being disturbed. Upon returning to the hotel after a day at the beach the receptionist told us that the house keeping staff had reported us for burning our towels and damaging charges will be applied. I went and got the towels and showed the receptionist that they were not damaged in any way and he apologised and dropped the charges but I wasn’t happy with the house keeping staff after that. Despite of the unclean pool and staff issues I would stay here again as the beach is right next to the hotel and it’s a lovely beach and I can swim in the sea.
Thumbs up

Good service, good ambience, but giving five star rating only due to Dominick the front desk manager. He is always willing to help in any possible way and is responsible for best hospitality. Location finding is bit difficult. Restaurant ala carte service best and affordable. Need to improve breakfast quality and service. Very few options for desserts for vegetarians. Need to have more eggless varieties.
Perfect Resort and Amazing hospitality

Had visted this resort in the month of sep with my wife and have to say that this is a perfect resort for spending quality time with your loved one.
The resort and its rooms are just perfect and need no changes though I read many reviews about the lights being dim in the cottages however these are cottages and not hotel rooms and hence the beauty is in having dim lights in the room.
The location is right on the beach and has enough restaurants around.
The most important and the beautiful part about this property is its staff specially Domnic, Vellinson and Jasmina needless to mention about the kitchen and the housekeeping staff. Hospitality, Customer satisfaction and smile is thier signature.
My wife wanted to plan a special honemoon for me and got a lot of arrangements done by cordinating with Domnic and Jasmina and I must say they have gone out of thier way to make sure my wife gets everything perfect and right for me right from decorating our room to setting up our candle light setup in thier lawn. We were touched by thier gestures of such hospitality for us.
Thank you guys and we will visit you again.

Goa has always been a getaway for me and my friends, so when we felt we were overdue for a holiday we chose to stay in South Goa this time around. We found the Fern Beiramar Resort via booking.com and picked it based on the reviews & pictures.
And the Beiramar delivered, it was what we expected a lot more! Apart from the distance from the Airport, the hotel is located right off the beach and has its own private backdoor to the beach (My favorite part was the Shower right next to the gate, helped clean up before we got to our rooms). The hotel layout itself is very pleasing, and not too crowded. Bathroom is well maintained and there's a shower division and clothes drying line. There's a supermarket & wine store at about 15 mins walk from the resort.
During our 3N/4D stay at Beiramar, we barely left the resort owing to great service, food and bar! Must try dishes would be the Margharita Pizza, Chicken Tikka and Chicken Strongnoff. Our room rate included breakfast, the spread is sufficiently varied and changes daily.
My one suggestion to the hotel would to improve the quality of the chairs in the foyer of the cottages (perfect pick would be the relaxing chairs rather than the straight ones currently placed).
As called out by others who have stayed here, the staff is extremely friendly and service oriented.
Overall the hotel was my best stay experience in Goa, I would definitely recommend to friends, family and couples.
I expected more after staying at diffrent The Fern Eco Hotel properties in India

I have been traveling to Goa for the past 6 years, and have stayed in all different types of hotels and shacks directly on the beach. The most tranquil place to stay is hands down South Goa. However, the issue with Goa and most places in India is consistency between hotel chains, this hotel The Fern Beirama Resort is no different.
I was the first guest at The Fern in Powai, and have stayed in The Fern chain of Eco Hotels all over India such as Chennai, Rajkot, Mundra, Goa and so on. I can say that The Fern Beira Mar Resort is not a representation of the chain, it is probably one of the worst managed hotels in the chain. Now again this could be due to that fact that I was there during the monsoon season, but I believe that cleanliness of the room and the resort should not depend on the seasons. The bed sheets were dirty, as well as all the other parts of room. The toilet area had some type of grease at the bottom of it, with the toilet seat looking like it has been threw war. In the middle of the night the power would go out and the UPC device did not work so the AC would be off for most of the night, making the room hot.
The staff, or the limited number of staff I should say was very nice and tried their best to make the stay as pleasant as possible, which did make up for the state of the resort.
A few years back, I stayed at The Fern Gardenia Resort, which was absolutely amazing. So my expectations for The Fern Beira Mar Resort were set at the same level. I am not sure why The Fern sold that property to Stark, but my overall opinion for this hotel is that it is an intermediate resort, and really not worth the premium cost per night. There are better places around, that are slightly away from the beach, but have more to offer at the same price.
