We had a wonderful stay at the Georgian Court Hotel. This hotel is in a very desirable location on the edge of downtown Vancouver. It is right across the street from the BC Place, a block or so from the new casino and about 3 blocks from Rodgers Stadium. It is also a short walk to the sea wall, which is beautiful place to go for a scenic walk. Although the hotel is in a great location, it is a very quiet place to stay. We found that our room was beautifully decorated and very nice décor. The service at the hotel was also a big PLUS, in our opinion, and we especially have to say that Daniel( the front desk specialist) gave us exceptionally great service!!!!!

I liked the location of the hotel close to Rogers arena, BC place, QE Theatre and the downtown core. Frankies restaurant and bar is great they have live music most days. We ate in the pub area food and service was very good.

We stayed overnight at the Georgian Court before going to Vancouver Island for the weekend. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and has very modern rooms. We were on the 9th floor and could hear almost nothing from the street outside. My only complaint was that the bed was too hard for my liking. This hotel is at the far end of Roberson street away from most of the restaurants and shopping so be prepared to walk a bit if that's what your after. It is however, right beside Rogers Arena so it would be super convenient for events there. The parking is underground and easy to access, and with a height of 6'6 full size trucks fit, but to pay $36.84 for one nights parking is expensive even for Vancouver.

The location and staff make this hotel a perfect place to stay in Vancouver. Located across from BC Place and Rogers Arena as well as a easy walk to the many pubs, bars, restaurants in the area. The room was a great size, clean, modern and provided a great sleep. Highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel in a rush. For two nights, I had paid almost half my normal rent. So you could say I was expecting like princess levels of comfort. What I did get was just okay levels of comfort.
The room I was in was facing away from the arena. I was on the “women only” Orchid floor. It was just a regular two bed room. Very clean. Super clean. Wow levels of clean.
No bathtub. This seems to be a trend happening in posh hotels though. I’m not a fan of it. I like a good soak. The shower though was nice. Rainfall showhead with optional hand shower. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were in shiny dispensers so you didn’t have to fumble around with tiny bottles. All very nice. The hair dyer, straightener and curling wand were also a great addition to the bathroom.
The beds were finely made with very soft sheets, blankets and pillows. Firm mattress but your back will be just fine. No issues here. Very lovely.
For the coffee lovers, the rooms have Nespresso machines. Fun. But not for me. I wish there was decaf options and some hot chocolate so I could join in the fun. This was a bit of a bummer.
Another bummer is the vending machine and ice machine situation. Well, sort of a bummer. Right. Every floor has a machine. One floor will have snacks, one will have pop and one will have ice. Every floor except floor 10, the Orchid floor. So to get a drink and snacks, you have to remember the floors you saw on the little info card in your room that tell you where everything is, and spend some time going up and down the room key operated evevator. It’s a little thing but it’s annoying when you just want ice or spent all day outside in the rain and just want a cola. The good side of this is that if a machine is out of order, there are other machines.
So all in all, things are pretty great. Comfy, clean and stocked with snacks. I was feeling happy and drifting off to sleep my first night when I heard this high pitched squealing noise. I assumed it was the air, so I turned it off and went back to bed. The noise went on. I got up and stood, trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. It went quiet if I took one step to the left but came back if I took a step forward. It was like a cruel children’s game! I figured out that the noise was from outside. And despite the windows behind shut and all the heavy shades pulled, the noise was very, very loud. I put my earplugs in (always travel with earplugs when you’re in a Vancouver hotel) and went back to bed. This is where I stayed. Awake. Awake and on the verge of tears. The noise was just awful. I made a vow to get my day started early and stay up late the next night so I didn’t have to toss and turn in bed for a long time. I basically didn’t sleep for two nights. Awful. Thank goodness for the late check-out time.
So I guess I should sum things up. If you need a place to stay that is close to the arena, this is your hotel. The staff is nice, there’s in room dining, fast food around the corner, lovely amenities in the rooms and it’s safe and so so so clean.
If you are just trying to find a hotel in Vancouver for an event that isn’t at the arena or if you need a place to stay in general, look around for something cheaper. This hotel is nice but there are cheaper or on par hotels that are closer to the downtown core (granville, burrard...). There’s even one that has a soaker bathtub in the rooms.
Would I stay here again? If the price was a bit cheaper or I came into some money, absolutely. This hotel has some problems but it’s still a lovely gem.
