We stayed one night on our way out of Cornwall and it was beyond terrible. The pictures are deceiving, the rooms are very small. We had room #4, basically a bed in a small room, not even a chair to sit in. The noise level from the bar/restaurant below was very loud. Don't plan on getting a good night's rest here. No parking either and restaurant below was in no way accommodating on trying to get a table for us, we eat elsewhere. So glad we only had one night here, terrible room/hotel.

We were lucky enough to plan 6 nights in Newquey and the Harbour Hotel. We were not disappointed and could have easily spent another week.
We caught the train from Paddington Station and it took just under 5 hours. Tip would be to book really early and book 1st class as you can save quite a lot. However normal class was fine.
We picked up our car at Bodmin Parkway and with sat nav it was an easy 20 minutes drive to Newquey.
The hotel is exactly what it says it is....right on the harbour. We could not have asked for a better location. This is a gorgeous hotel with lovely rooms with loads of character and atmosphere.
This is also a great place to chat to other guests or visitors that come into the restaurant. Only 5 or 6 rooms so highly personalised service was given.
The room was a good size, as was the bathroom. We had the largest room with gorgeous old furniture. The bed is only a double so if you are tall them it probably wont suit. The bed was gorgeous and I'd hate to see it go however it did need some work. Each room has a balcony which for us was just perfect. We could sit out and watch the comings and goings of the fisherman and the tides.
The restaurant was a highlight. Fresh stocks made daily and fish from the wharf. A constant enticing smell coming from the kitchen! We dined 5 out of our 6 nights here and wish we had dome all 6!
There is loads to do within driving distance and is a great base from which to see all Cornwall has to offer. Fishing trips are also available form the Wharf and I reckon that if you asked the chef would cook them for you!
Plenty of walks along the beach to burn off breakfast.
A very big thank you to all the team at this wee hotel. Manager/Chef, waitresss come cleaners and receptionists. It was clear that everyone got along well and seemed to be a wonderful environment in which to work. Hope to get back some!

A lovely village good views and walks with coffee shops and restaurants and a fine Cornish pastie shop on the harbour. Parking could be a challenge at high season but we had no problem, its lovely walking the back streets and admiring properties and views

Every stay made to feel special. Great accomodation nothing too much trouble and great food. Owners are lovely brought breakfast in bed when not even asked for. And a view that is unbelievable! Staff so helpful I love the place!! Wouldn't stay any where else can't fault it love it!!

We were walking past and took an unplanned turn to the harbour. It was great to see the working harbour.. My partner has never seen a working harbour before and found it really interesting.
A lovely view and fun to walk round.
