We stayed in one of the apartments next door to the bed and breakfast and couldn't have been more pleased. Quality accommodation with the perfect view. First class in every aspect with friendly hosts. Won't stay anywhere else in Scarborough now we have found it.

We've just arrived home after a wonderful three night stay at The Helaina.
I don't have any negative comments at all.
The room we stayed in, room 8 has a wonderful sea view, it's nicely decorated with everything that you require for a comfortable stay.
The little extras such as the bath house cosmetics, which by the way are not cheap! And the wonderful drinks tray complete with the little coffee bags which I had never tried before but will be buying a box now I'm back at home were lovely touches.
The staff were all very professional and extremely friendly.
The breakfast is of a very good quality,healthy,fresh,hot,lovely!
Thanks to all the staff for giving us a great few days away.

What a lovely place to stay overlooking Scarborough’s North Bay. Can not fault it for cleanliness, friendliness and a great breakfast cooked to order. Sets the standard in my opinion and will certainly book again when visiting the area. May well try the self-catering accommodation as a base for a longer stay. The honesty bar in the guest lounge is an added bonus.

The Helaina is a brilliant place to stay . The Duty Manager Libby is a wonderful host very helpful, kind and professional.Our room was kept very clean by hardworking friendly chambermaids, who take real pride in what they do .The Helaina is very clean and well maintained,one issue we found we should have had something on shower dial to say hot and cold it had come off so we needed to be careful. Breakfast wonderful overall,one thing we did find everthing we eat or drank top quality but bacon cooked perfect but was a little salty. Our stay was great we thought it was a place where customer care and service means something to the people that work there .Wishing all who work there a ll the best you deserve it . We stayed has a couple for 3 nights great value for money too.

Stayed here with friends for the second time last weekend. Fabulous accommodation, great hosts, wonderful view in one of the friendliest towns.
Just make sure you're able bodied as flat is up a lot of stairs!!
Can recommend highly to couples and families-we'll be booking again and taking our kids for a long weekend. The bedrooms are cosy and very comfortable, living room spacious and kitchen-diner well equipped. Large bathroom with bath and shower.
