We only stayed one night sadly. If I would have known how nice this hotel is I would have scheduled a longer stay. We will definitely be going back. The staff is fabulous. The rooms are immaculately clean and very big. A very pleasant surprise. Did I mention the pillow menu? Nice. 24 hours room service was good too.

Very nice luxury hotel in Pacific Heights neighbourhood of SFO. Hotel has been operating since early 1900s, but has been recently renovated (or at least just feels that way). Everything in the room was in good working order. Nicely decorated. Spacious bathroom with walking shower. Generous amenities, including free bottled water, free wifi, free cookies and coffee/tea in front lobby area. Great breakfast buffet in the morning, included with room rate. Staff friendly but discreet. Excellent location on top of a hill in Pac Heights. We walked around and discovered the neighbourhood. A nice change overall from big impersonal US hotel chains. Also, away from main tourist area downtown and by wharf, so feels quilter and more relaxed which fit with what we were looking for. Only downside: we were in room 102. Directly in the reception area on ground floor and gives onto the front lobby sitting area with coffee station etc. Some lady decided to speak loudly at 5:30am on our first night there. Small hotel and want to maximise their room capacity, but they should implement a quiet zone late night and early morning in that area or figure out a way to isolate that space.

My husband and I chose to stay at Hotel Drisco based on the excellent reviews provided here and were not disappointed. In fact, our expectations were exceeded! The hotel and staff were so wonderful we didn't want to leave our room! We stayed in a Guest Room with a City View. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely - heated floors were a plus. The toiletries are my favorite from all my hotel stays (Acqua Di Parma). I can't say enough about the excellent Staff. They were attentive in an unobtrusive way and were so helpful with everything. Lunch / Dinner recommendations were spot on and just so helpful. Oh! and how could I almost forget the happy hour - hand selected lovely wines and a nice selection of meats and cheeses before you head out for dinner.
Highly recommend - as I stated earlier, this is the only Hotel I will stay at when visiting San Francisco!

We often visit the SF area because our daughter and so-in-law live in the Pac Heights neighborhood not far from the hotel. The hotel was recently refurbished and that "re-do" was surprisingly well done. We have previously stayed at the St. Francis, the Hilton, Marriott, Drake, etc. and feel that we have finally found our hotel home for SF visits. We stayed in a 1BR suite which was well laid out with a comfortable sitting area, great king-size bed, and a large bathroom that was modern and well equipped. The hotel serves a free continental breakfast on the lower level which is a major step up from what I expected. The hotel also hosts a wine reception in the evening which we did not partake in because of other commitments. The staff was service oriented aiming to please from the moment we checked in until out departure. We used their shuttle to return to the airport. It cost slightly more than an Uber X but gave us the confidence that our personal ride would be ready for our 5:50 am departure.

The location was gorgeous with the hotel nestled in a quiet, charming neighborhood. The decor was sophisticated and calming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We also loved the fact that the establishment clearly appreciated a more peaceful setting without loud music playing and in main gathering spaces. A very classy hotel!
