My wife and I have been coming out Bodega Bay for over 30 years and loved to stay at the Inn at the Tides. I was always an exceptional value with great rooms, good food and an overall great experience. Over the last few years the prices have no longer been a value and the overall property has slipped into disrepair. Rooms are dated and worn out, staff is not what it used to be and service is lacking. It's time to update and bring the property up to the value of a what they charge.

We had stayed here many years ago, and thought to try again.
Although it is older and a little "tired", we thought it was still a relaxing and lovely hotel. Our room had a very large comfortable bed, fireplace in the room, and an amazing view.
Included was a bottle of wine, breakfast for two (not just a continental breakfast, but a bacon & egg type of breakfast), and a discount in the on-site restaurant. The location was central to numerous public beaches, restaurants, and hiking.
We forgot to bring our swimsuits so we can't comment on the pool and spa.....
We will return again someday!

Pleasantly surprised. We were worried from previous reviews that the place might not be what we wanted however we found everything enjoyable and clean. The complimentary bottle of wine and breakfast each day across the street were a treat. The hot tub and pool were relaxing and just what we wanted. Also as a tip the town has zero taxi’s or uber/lyft service so plan your nights accordingly. There is no safe road to walk down either. No fault of the hotel just as a tip.

We started coming to the Inn at the Tide many years ago when it was new and beautiful. But, it has not been maintained properly. We came here this year in July for our anniversary and we were so disappointed. Room keys didn't work half the time and our rooms looked very run down and a bit smelly. I vowed never to go back.
Then this October we got evacuated from our house because of the fires in Santa Rosa. The last night of our 5 day evacuation the only hotel room we could find was at the Inn at the Tides. So, back we went.
We couldn't get into one of the rooms, so maintenance was called. He told us we had to pull on the door before we could push the door open. Sure enough, that worked. Nice. Ok, rooms still not very nice and one of the rooms had at least a 1/4 inch crack running about 31/2 feet along the grout line in the shower. You could see into this crack! Doesn't anyone ever inspect these rooms? No refrigerators in the rooms. I've stayed in 10 different hotels in the past year and they all had mini fridges. It's a very minor/inexpensive convenience everyone expects when they're traveling. Let's not forget, these are not cheap rooms. I'll be looking for something else the next time I want to spend the night in Bodega Bay.

It was nice great grounds .bathrooms were very nice.bath tub was huge..beds were wonderful.most of our screens were missing of the windows ..and I had two rooms next to each other ..ether room had heat turned on..and we had to fix the toilet chain a couple times..Pool was cold. hot tub was a good size.all night long a beeping nose came from a closet out side our door.as soon as they turned it of. it came back on.the whole time we were there two nights . as long as the tv was on. we could not hear it . breakfast was the best ...our waiter was so nice.over all it had a great view .and it was very clean.
