Classic Inn over a bar

You have to go into the bar next door to find the proprietor to check you in. The 4th bed in our room partially blocked the door, was awkward bringing suitcases in. Room was good size. There was paid street/lot parking nearby, but nothing super near the inn. You could smell the bar in the room which is not ok for everyone. The shower needed a good bleaching as there was visible mold/shower scum in the corner and didn't have much in the way of water pressure. Unfortunately breakfast was too late in the morning for us to try it. Wifi was slow and wouldn't stay connected very well.

An economic al option

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. The location is perfect, a short walk across the bridge and you are into the walled city, yet you are away from the bustle. The room was a little old and somewhat shabby but adequate for sleeping. The Irish breakfast great and the staff friendly and helpful.

Solid bed and breakfast

I stayed for a couple of nights and found it to be a good value bed and breakfast.
The B and B is in a good location with the pub underneath and others nearby. There is also a shop opposite and a decent Chinese takeaway and dominoes pizza woot a few minutes walk.
The room was tidy enough with a comfortable bed but the shower wasn't the best but still ok to use. A great breakfast served from 7.30 but you can get in from around 7.15 if need to get away.
Overall value for money wise it is bang on and I would happily stay here again.

Great Value Weekend

Stayed Friday and Saturday night . B&B very close to train station and a short walk over the bridge to the main attractions and shopping centres. We were lucky with the weather which made exploring the walls much nicer. Taxi fare £3 back to Iona inn. Bar next door had a nice relaxed atmosphere, with
live music on the Saturday . Breakfast was freshly cooked with good local ingredients, perfect to set you up for the day. Staff were very friendly in both the b& b and the bar. Will be back.

Overnight stay- great value.

Whilst touring Ireland with a friend on motorcycles we spent a night at the Iona Inn. We arrived early evening and were offered secure parking for the bikes and show to our room. The room was clean and spacious and had good en suite facilities, we also took advantage of the free tea and coffee. TV in the room was clear, beds were comfy and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. For the money it was great value, easy walk into the town centre. Thanks very much!
