Love love love this lodge! I was in Banff for a night because I wanted to be out early the next morning for some photographs. We decided to stay here because it is not right in the town site of Banff but close enough you could walk there. I was pleasantly surprised they offer townie bikes to get around on but it was too cold when we were there to take advantage of this. The young man at the front desk was amazingly nice and funny and it felt like we had known him forever. We were on the second floor and the room was clean and cozy. After an evening in Banff we went back to the Juniper to have a drink in their lounge. It was a lovely end to the day and the fellow behind the bar was just as friendly as the rest of the people who work here. The next morning after being out for hours in the early morning cold we decided to have some breakfast in their restaurant before checking out and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious and I had the best piece of avacado toast I have ever had. My partner had a steak with scrambled eggs and I cannot believe the way the eggs were cooked, they were divine! This is now going to be our go to place when we come to Banff for a night or two. ( Side note: We are very picky about cleanliness wherever we stay and we found our room to be immaculate )

I'd like to start this review with the declaration that as a hotel worker myself, I know service when I receive it. Honestly this hotel provided life changing views, service and hot tub to die for. Unreal experience and I will be writing home about The Juniper Hotel.
My good friend who I was traveling with, lost his mind in the parking lot of The Juniper Hotel. Just as we were pulling into the lot after a full wildlife-less drive around the delightful Banff National Park, he saw his first ever dear. The moment his eyes met the beautiful creature that seemed at peace in its habit, his mind and presence lit up. It is my duty to include a picture of this moment below where he wiped his phone out to capture the moment of his first dear sighting. Thank you Juniper for this.
All in all, this hotel is a diamond on the side of a beautiful landscape. I will not forget my experience at The Juniper Hotel anytime soon.

My wife and I stopped over for a couple of nights, and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the hotel. Excellent views, and equally exceptional service! Dennis at the front desk was delightful & extremely helpful. The breakfast is a must-try - especially the Juniper Benny. Hands down, best value in Banff.

We just completed a four day event at Juniper and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were attentive and professional. All we had to do was mention it and our wish was their command. We really appreciate it, thank you for a fantastic weekend!
In fact we loved it so much, the plans are already in the works to return there next year.

This hotel has many memorable aspects, from the location on the north side of the highway (affording a fantastic view to the south) to the layout of the hotel. The hotel has many unique aspects, from the cozy lobby to the historical photos in the hallways. Our room was well appointed but it is everything else that makes the place memorable. Plenty of free parking in front, and a great restaurant, bar, fireplace, and picture windows with magnificent views. We had a first floor room and so could walk out to the south via the door to our patio.
