Don't let the name resort fool you

The property is very old and big and it is easily imaginable that in its hay days it was a good place to be in and that's why it is painful to see it to be neglected. The property clearly lacks adequate number of staff. However, the present staffs are quite helpful and courteous. The rooms and bathrooms particularly are very big, clean and comfortable. However, facilities like swimming pool and WiFi are not available. There are lots of trees in the compound and the architecture of the property is also very eye catching. Expecting resort like facilities may dissapoint one but as a mid range hotel it is quite good.
Sadly neglected

I stayed here some 7 years ago. It was fine then but seems to suffer from a lack of care since. We were the only guests in a hotel which has 30 plus rooms which to me is an indication of its popularity. The boys on staff are very good but have limited English.I could not fault them or our safari driver. However there was absolutely no sign of any management around at any time. The place is very run down. Some of the electrics in our room were loose and therefore dangerous especially in the bathroom. Some do not work at all. Hot water is sometimes available sometimes not. The toilet became blocked but was fixed. However they left soiled and soggy paper in the bin. The 'fresh' towels were stained. The tablecloth on our table had some curry split on it on our first day. It was never changed. Wifi was only available when reception was manned in the evening. During the day there was never anyone on reception apart from when we had to pay our bill!
Mixed bag

Visited Krishna Jungle Resort, Kanha in April 2015. Experience was a mixed bag. Let's focus on the positives first. The food here is very good, tasty and almost like home-made. Do not expect a buffet, but they try to make what you may prefer to eat. There's an old worldly charm to this place perhaps because this was one of the earliest lodges to appear in Kanha and it has had its share of heydays. There were not many guests in the resort during our stay. Rakesh Rawat, the manager is a friendly person and quick to respond to any stay related requests. Feroz, another staff who manages quite a few things in the resort was quite a help during our stay. He not only helped in booking our tickets for a couple of safaris, but also took us for a Nature Walk to a really nice place by a stream nearby.
Downsides include lack of cleanliness in bathrooms, presence of spiders and bugs in toilet. Could perhaps offer cleaner towels. Connectivity is poor in case you're particular about being online. With a little more attention to details, the management could possibly make this a better place.
As far as tiger sighting goes, we were bit unlucky and managed only 1 sighting out of 6 safaris. Sighting happened in Sarhi zone. There were lots of action, alarm calls in other zones Kanha, Kisli and Mukki however actual sightings were limited. Saw a kill near Bison Road, but no signs of tiger. Vultures were devouring the leftovers.
Lousy place..

Been to this place with friends in april and found the stay very unpleasant.. food is very average, rooms are barely maintained, bathrooms and linen in poor state and the manager Rakesh is only concerned with money. Even after several complaints, no response. Do not go to this place at any cost.
Unprofessional!!!

I visited kanha in Dec 14 and stayed in this property. It looks quite interesting from photographs. And yes it is but management is not up to the mark. Its a mixed experience few good and few bad. I think one should focus on toger sighting and not on stay coz it cost a lot for every safari and must go on multiple safaris.
