If you need a place to stay while visiting the Island, then The Lighthouse Inn is where you need to stay at!!!! Owners Chris and Lea are AMAZING!!!! Very helpful and always willing to assist you in your needs! Big thing for me was finding a hotel that was pet friendly cause my fur baby IS my baby....The Lighthouse Inn is PET FRIENDLY!! Another important aspect of this hotel is the cleanliness of the rooms! VERY VERY CLEAN!! Even the grout on the tub is white!!! They clean the rooms themselves and do an emaculate job!!! I am VERY fussy where i rest my head and i have to say, The Lighthouse Inn BEATS the more expensive hotels out there! Rest assure, when u stay here, you wont be disappointed!!!! This is the only place we will stay at when we go to the Island, and we go ALOT!!! Thank you Chris and Lea for making us feel very comfortable during our stay! You guys are above and beyond what a hotel should be!!!!

Great place to stay on the island! Very cozy and clean rooms and reasonably priced! Close to everything! Chris was very helpful with getting us in early ☺ Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely stay again!

We really wanted to like this place Our hosts were A+, extremely friendly and very helpful. The location is good, and the small room is reasonably attractive. Unfortunately, we had the most uncomfortable bed we can ever remember. The old mattress was lumpy with no support left in it. Even the pillows were bad. We are small, lightweight folks, so we usually are OK on almost anything, but this bed was awful. Since we are small, we did manage OK with the bed being a small double size. Due to the high Chincoteague weekend prices, this was the best value room we could find. On another trip, we will probably pass on Chincoteague and stay somewhere down the road.

This place is clean, the people are friendly and helpful. For the price and the distance to everything you cannot beat it. I would stay here again. There is a nice clean pool. The walls are thick and no one complained how loud we were.

At first glance, and from the outside, when we drove up, we wondered what we were getting ourselves into; the motel didn't look particularly inviting, new, or modern. The inside "lobby" is warm and down to earth. Although I wasn't happy that we had to wait so long for the proprietors, they completely redeemed themselves, by apologizing profusely, and being as nice, and as warm, welcoming, and helpful, as they could possibly be!!! I so appreciated this, especially after our previous experience of very cold and unhelpful motel proprietors, elsewhere! While waiting, we "made friends" with another guest, who was also waiting for the proprietors.
Our room was across the small street, and on the bottom of the 2 floors. Although it wasn't the spiffiest, most spacious,or brightest room, it was clean and rather "old-world style" charming. On the grounds, is a pool, gazebo, games, and barbeque grills for the guests to use. The motel was within walking distance to town, and not too far from a trolley stop (We did not have an opportunity to take the trolley.).
My only complaint was that there really should be a banister or 2, on the staircase outside the rooms we were in. It would have given me a little more confidence, especially when carrying suitcases up and down the stairs.
I would stay here again.
