Well this was my second time at kareri Lodge and that itself will speak a lot about it. Coz you visit a place again only when you have had a satisfying experience in the past. Nice location and views. One of the best sunsets I have ever seen and that too could catch the glimpse from my room. Mr. Ram (owner) is a great personality and a travel encyclopedia in himself.
This place doesn't have any restaurant and can only serve you tea and snacks. But all good restaurants are in walking distance. The tariff is also very reasonable.
Mcleodganj is a beautiful place and kareri experience make it unique.

I've been visited Mcleod Ganj countless times since mid-nineties. So, I tried almost all the hotels and guest houses there. Among them Kareri Lodge is the place of real peace & tranquility, humble but friendly and with best views down the valley. Mr. Ram Swaroop the owner is a very attentive and helpful man to his customers. The 2nd day of your stay at his hotel you feel him like your best friend. I highly recommend his place to both the experienced travellers and newcomers to the Little Lhasa as sometimes Mcleod and Dharamsala are called. However, book rooms at Kareri Lodge long before you come as they are in high demand.

I have stayed at Kareri lodge several times. There's awesome views from rooms. Its location is excellent. Close to center but in a quiet location. The owner is friendly and trustworthy. I had several amazon packages delivered there with their permission. There was no problems. I appreciate their help.

I intented to stay at this very cozy lodge (it does not have a restaurant itself so I was surprises by other reviews re food...) for about 3-7 days and ended up to stay over 3 weeks; that says enough I guess. The room felt like a home away from home and although the shops and restaurants are very closeby, the lodge is situated in a more quiet road. I enjoyed spending my time in McLeod Ganj and the beautiful view from the balcony and the nice company at Kareri; It was a delight! Ram, Deso and Kundun make a great team - I hope to go back one day.

this hotel is in mcleodganj and i loved my stay here. the area was so peaceful and the weather here was so pleasant. talking about the hotel it was okayish the food was not bad and the staff was well mannered.
