Very Disappointed
cherokee47on 03/10/2017 03:18My wife and I booked a condo for three (3) nights via the Tamarron (Durango, CO) website. When we arrived on Sunday Sept. 24th, our condo #866 was not ready. After reporting this issue to the lodge clerk, she discovered that the housekeeping service would not be available to address this matter, and would arrange for another condo. She was very attentive to our needs, and found another condo within the Tamarron location that was available, condo #799. Out of options, we took possession of this unit. What a disappointment. This unit was very outdated, and was in need of a generous remodel by the owners. The kitchen was hardly manageable, with a stove that looked to be at least 40 years old, and a mini-fridge that was less than acceptable. There was a sour odor throughout the unit, and the overall housekeeping standards were poor. I could go on and on about this unit. The only redeeming factor were the views from the deck. We will never again book via this website when we visit Durango in the future.
Terrible Customer Service but Beautiful Hotel
Kristen Aon 07/06/2017 01:25The hotel and location are absolutely stunning. It has such character and charm. The rooms are huge! It makes for a very comfortable stay.
However, we stayed this past weekend and the receptionist was terribly rude. She acted as though we were annoying her. All we did was check in and ask for a recommendation for dinner. Aside from her looking at me like I was an idiot, I received an exasperated reply. It was as if she thought we should already know any answer to any question we asked. Also, current renovations prevent pool and spa usage.
Great Place for Family Get Togethers
John Mon 01/06/2017 15:52We had 7 people coming from all corners of the US for a family reunion. We stayed in the Pine Cone condo units. Place was stunningly beautiful! Our condo held all of us nicely and with comfort.
We used our unit as "party central" and had about 18 people over for a casual evening meal. The deck views are great, with wildlife casually strolling through in the evening and mornings.

Dawn Zon 05/02/2017 04:32Morning view from master bedroom of condo 514/515. Meticulous and cozy two bedroom, fireplace, spiral staircase w upstairs loft, full kitchen. Most of amazing views and ultimate serenity in this top floor corner unit. Enjoy!
Nice place
J Son 28/12/2016 20:48We really enjoyed our stay in unit 106. In fact, we looked forward to relaxing in our room after a long day skiing. The fridge was a good size. Kitchenette came with adequate cooking items to make a quick meal. Bathroom has been updated and is actually quite nice.
Room had a picturesque view of the mountains.
I gave it 4 stars because of housekeeping. We found some of the pots, pans and utensils dirty (not even washed after last use!)
