We booked to stay on a Friday evening after spending an afternoon on the coastline in Watchet and I’m glad we booked -as it’s a very popular place !
Easy to find and plenty of parking.
Good outside space areas, front and back, to sit outside whether it’s in the evening or daytime.
Lots of room inside for family get togethers over a Sunday lunch, or just a coffee or a pint in the snug area, off the bar.
Great choices of locally produced food on the menu too! We had the liver and bacon with mash and vegetables and steak with home made chips and onion rings - fabulous!
There are 8 ensuite rooms in a good position at the back of the pub/restaurant overlooking the garden area and access to the car park.
Breakfast was great - full English -no grease-made to order and great poached eggs ! Choices of fruit, cereals, juices, tea and coffee also out for self serving.
Lovely place for a meal, drink and stop over -will visit again next time we’re in the area !

Reasonable cost, high quality and FRESH meat & vegetables.
Absolutely brilliant roast dinner.
Very child friendly.
Staff well trained and warm...
Cozy decore, play swings outside for kids and toys and books.

Shhhh, don't tell everyone!!
Very impressed - great food (quality and choice for adults and kids), and ease of stay with 2 small boys.
Just off the A39, we explored the coast, west crabbing, Pony trekking on Exmoor, Horner wood national trust, and to Porlock weir.
Highlights - great food, Easy access and location, parking practically outside chalet style room, small adventure playground set at the top of the beer garden. The wooden treehouse style play house was a winner.
Excellent value for money. I would of happily paid more.
We had disabled room which was practical as a walk in shower room /childproof as no risk of finger trappings in the doors.
Comfortable beds and squishy pillows.
My son loved the seafood sharing platter, especially whitebait and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
I enjoyed continental breakfast and cheese and meats.
Our family live in cannington and joined us for dinner a couple of times which was fabulous, to all be either inside or outside together with the kids playing in the tree house.
We sampled scallops, steak, specials menu and deserts. Lemon posset lovers - this way.....
Portions large, excellent flavour, value and speed of service.
These guys are slick and professional.
A top notch kitchen brigade.
I say this as a customer and previous Operations manager at a top london events venue.
I consider myself a loyal customer now and look forward to staying in the future.
Charlotte is well organised and really friendly. She's a superstar!

My Father and Sister and I had a fantastic evening meal - great food choices all fresh and nicely served. Very attentive service and lovely location - sat in a very nice private alcove. Highly recommended by us.

This is our local pub and since Shaun and charlott have taken over last year it's gone from strength to strength. We regularly eat here as a couple or with family and friends and we all love it. Food is wonderful,and there is always something lovely on the special board. It's homely and spotlessly clean, here's to many more great evenings out cheers
